So you want to ignore the teams with your so called "relegation form" as of Saturday or does one game change everything?
Im not ignoring them, we are not discussing them. They are also producing relegation form and have had a tricky start to the season, im not entirely sure why this obvious statement is being picked up on![]()
We are talking about your tricky start to the campaign however, which sees you on course for 38 points and with only one win so far... while barely regestering attacks, averaging 2 shots on target per game (which is distorted by 50% by one solitary game).
38 points has seen a team either relegated or in a dog fight IN EVERY SINGLE SEASON. Its a tricky start, especially when you consider you are the 5th highest spenders in the league. You have spent similar in one summer than we did in our whole 3 seasons here.

Well I am discussing them.
Swansea were running at 1 point per game on Saturday so they were also running at your "relegation form" until they won against Palace (big deal some might say). So by your own argument Swansea had the same relegation form on Saturday. Do you think one game against Palace changes that?
Regarding a tricky start then yes, Man City, Tottenham, Everton, pretty tricky. 4 points not too bad from that trio.
Let's compare to your tricky trio...Man Utd, Tottenham, Liverpool. 1 point from your trio.
Moving on wouldn't the more sensible approach be to say that we are not going to know the true form of either of our teams until a few more games have been played? I think most people will begin judging after 10 games.

Discuss awaybut dont tell me im ignoring teams that I am not discussing. Yes we had relegation form in our first season, but we got promoted in 3rd place and spent £8.8m. You have been promoted in first place and spent over £30m.
We were also showing relegation form before palace too, which you guys reminded us of![]()
Im afriad we can only go on what we know, that is 5 games. And in that 5 games you have had the 5th worst start in the Premier league and lie last in chances created. Your total so far puts you in a projected total that always results in either relegation or a relegation battle.
Thats a tricky start.

So either way you have had a tricky start. You cant dine out on one match forever, ask Reading.

Yes we had a tricky start and I've already demonstrated we handled Man City, Tottenham and Everton a lot better than you handled Man Utd, Tottenham and Liverpool. Now that's the important part, not a single game against Palace.

We havent played Man City or Everton this year yet and we had the same result against Tottenham as you did (a 1-0 defeat)... but of course, you were home and we were away.![]()
We also picked up more points in other other games, hence the table, and hence your tricky start.
A single game against palace didnt give us 7 points.

Surprise! Your other games were relegation fodder. Similarly we haven't played Man Utd or Liverpool either! Quite frankly I'm sure we'll do better than 1 measly point from that duo.

Im not even sure what you are arguing about now, im not even convinced you do. We are 9th, you are 16th. You have had one of the worst starts in the league and have created the least chances.
So tricky start as i said at the start
