A forum for all things Cardiff City

There was one clear difference in this game - £100m of quality
Our players played their hearts out, and really did deserve more for the effort. But the stats don't like and Spurs were dominant, and deserved a bigger margin. A credit to our defence (and especially Gary - AGAIN!!) for keeping their shots to 20-25 yards out, but if Marshall didnt have one of the games of his life, we wouldn't be looking at a 1-0 loss.
We played well, but created nothing going forward.
We have to expect these things to happen against the big teams. We CAN produce quality (Man City Game) but we need to accept that 9 times out of 10, we wont get the result. We just lack that attacking presence at the moment. But if we can get a new creative midfielder in and another striker in Jan, we can expect better results.
As it stands, especially on our opening games, we will survive and have a great debut season.
And Malky seems the type of manager who can stop any "second season syndrome" from settling in next year.
A lot of positives from yesterday though.

Some good points but above i disagree with, we been defending like that for two seasons in some games, only last season we got away with it in a good few games by nicking a goal only this season it will not cut the mustard at this level or next time it could be a hammering with a silly score Vs us, like you said we have to have a go going forward or whats the point trying to get results while one foots in the fire already knowing your going to defend for 90mins and try get a shot off on target and ride luck out along the way

my view on it, they out played us for 94 minutes and it was a sickener that they scored in the way they did. However if Hugo was sent off for hand ball it would have been a different ball game all together, SO YES WE WAS ROBBED

Goal right fully disalllowed and Lloris handled just inside the box, it was clearly on the line. Be happy that we again showed we can be tough to beat even when outplayed.
