At every opportunity she manages to alienate more and more potential followers of her supposed cause.

If BU were not already dead in the water this statement should seal their fate.

A shame really because the end goal can be applauded. ..... the journey along the road to get there is nothing short of an absolute shambles.

Exactly. The statement should read "look at me! Look at me! Look at me! "

Why is it such a shambles HangedMan? Why is it "obvious" that she's on a power trip?!

Having spoke with her in person several times now, I can tell you that she's on no such thing. have you conversed with her personally to form that opinion? Or are you trying to run her & BU down?

No, as its a club kit website, not a crystal ball.

Doesn't "say it all" then does it?

Don't know why you're picking at me, it's 37 that posted it. :old: :laughing5:

You replied to me! Not picking at you fella, just trying to make the point that we all know we've been blue apart from 2 seasons but for many the alternative could have been a lot worse. Like you said though, a crystal ball would be required now.

I did, but at no point did I say that the link "said it all".

I'm inclined to think that we would have been okay. Struggled, but been okay. We wouldn't have been in the premiership this season, but we would have been wearing blue and been proud...

Just my thoughts, of course. :malky:

No but 37 said that the link "says it all" and since you replied to me I made the point to you that it didn't. I didn't say you had said it.

I think we would have hit the wall and chosen admin. What sort of team we would have ended up with I don't know but highly likely league one would have beckoned, maybe worse. But we won't know now so it's only opinion

As for pride, I'm proud now :ayatollah:

Where did I say that?! I just noticed that you got all aggro again over a conversation that didnt involve you.

I was merely pointing out that it wasn't me who posted the original site as I read the post in the way that it seemed he thought I didn't.

Don't get your knickers in a twist, it's all sorted.

I shall answer your questions in reverse order if you don't mind Chuckmeister, just for the sake of continuity.

I have never spoken to Sian in person and I never intend to, for reasons I shall explain later, which regard to your first two questions.

I think she has made a very good job of running herself down as well as BU, I don't have to try to do that but am well within my rights to express my opinion, with which I think you will strongly agree.

Why is it a shambles?

The only knowledge I have of BU is what I read on this forum. I have never looked at their FB page, which claims to have 1,000's of followers, mainly because it has been stated many times on this forum that it is anti Tan more than it is pro blue.

It's a shambles for a few reasons, not only because the leadership, represented by Sian at the forefront, can't control their own supporters, and then fail to take retrospective action, but also alienate the very people they should be looking to bring onside!

I've read everything Sian has posted on this forum and also listened to her on the radio.

To me she sounds and reads like a person who has picked up a baton but does not know where the next runner is to hand it to.

10 out of 10 for effort, 4 out of 10 for execution.

The reason I believe she is on a power trip is because she must know her failings by now when it comes to galvanizing support but she still hangs on in there, trying to get as much limelight as she can.

Please understand, this is not a personal attack on Sian as I have never met her, it is just an observation of why BU will ultimately fail.

I hope that answers your questions.

Each to their own & yes, I strongly agree with your right to air that opinion.

It's one I strongly disagree with & as I say, having met Sian several times now, I can say that there's certainly no power trip. :ayatollah:

I'm Blue and always will be no question at all.

I am also old!

Over the years I have learned that sometimes you can not win especially against HUGE MONEY.

Sometimes its best just to sit back and compromise.

BU are on a loser they just dont know yet.

I am Blue and will definitely be blue after I've gone. (For a few hours anyway.)

Is this statement anything different or new compared with previous BU statements?

I mean I accept, conceptually, that it is a statement - but just assumed it might have been a development or a progression or an announcement.

Anyone enlighten me pls?

I think it's just an updated Mission Statement from BU after a big rise in members. :ayatollah:

The statement says a club is its badge and its colours which a visit to this site will show for the majority of its history the club had no badge on its shirt so does that mean we weren't a club for that period. The definition is too narrow and excludes the fans and the servants and players. The bluebird appeared in 58 and then had a 10 year holiday so were we any less a club during that period which included a trip to Div 1.
I respect people's thoughts on colours but lets please get the facts on history right

Are you a member or BU official? What is the big rise you report - in numbers?

If you think it is an updated Mission statement, perhaps the lady who posted it would respond rather than you, Barry, unless of course you are an appointed official?

You asked for "anyone to enlighten you" & since I've had that information directly from Sian, I chose to enlighten you.

You can't ask for anyone to enlighten you & then pick and choose when only one person does.

Exactly. Like I said, respect everyone's right to a view point & opinion but we don't have to respect that opinion & I cannot fathom why anyone would ever wear red rebrand shirts. Each to their own though.
