He is a quality player, a striker of the hold up type who as proven by the likes of Adebayor and co. mature and come into their own in their late 20's. Zamora is another player who is doing a job late on. People forget Rudy is 24 playing in a position that requires a solid mental game that takes years to master. He is getting better all the time.

Of course though our dear friend Barry Chuckles couldn't accept this. My belief in Rudy that he will be a future star of course is not acceptable because we all must, like our dear friend, believe he is never going to get better, is a failure and should have been loaned out to another team to save the club from his allegedly embarrassing displays.

Rudy has done well at Rovers, but he ain't a star. He's linked in the tabloids with a 4.5m move - so? It proves nothing.

Don't get me wrong, I liked him too, and would love for him to still be here, but he's not, and he's still a championship striker.

Come back and brag when he's a champions league striker.
