Im sorry but if that's what Bluebirds unite is saying its just plain daft. If id wanted to support a team in the prem I could have been watching man utd, Liverpool etc. Not following Cardiff home and plenty of aways for twenty years. If we hadn't been promoted I would still be there following my local team.

He can put his opinion across just like Sian can, don't mean we have to agree with it.

I've been a City fan since 1976 and my father and grandfather were supporters before me. I can't identify with Pink Pyjamas FC and I'll walk away if, as a consumer (which I'm now being treated as), the product no longer appeals to me.

I am still a season ticket holder but only really for my son. I want the love to come back and it might, I suppose.

Okay then. My viewpoint was that I responded to a childish post in a childish manner. Im sorry for that and in future I'll rise above such juvenile actions. I got no problem, I just think everyone's views are pretty much set in stone in regards to the initial rebrand although I think we both agree this name change stuff is going to open a whole new can of worms.

Its a shame but at the moment it seems

Monday - Friday: Moan about the rebrand or moan about those opposing it
Saturday: Focus on the football
Sunday: Football and some rebrand stuff filtering back in

The football is becoming a sideshow to the rebrand. :(

Mainly by you

The amount of posts I see from you telling us Tan has "swag" (like a tit) or that we are all blind and should accept the red is unreal.

There should be a filter set onto your account so that everytime you type "red" "blue" or "Rebrand" it changes your post to
"I'm an idiot"
It winds me up

On topic though, it seems another reaction to other comments that Sian hasnt thought about, but the group can still represent those fans who really believe in it, and people need to be careful that they don't turn their backs on what it stands for. I think a joint leadership is needed with someone who will think before they speak/post ect.

The alienation winds me up too though, I accept all fans whether they are red or blue, because we are still all CCFC fans, we should all be united in supporting Malky and our team, and leave the politics to the politicians

IMO

I do that to wind up Chuckles as I have told him. The more the pro blues keep trying to force their ideology on people the more people will resist. They are entitled to their views but should not try and force them on people or continuously go on about them like Chuckles and that taffy fella does.

Its okay for them to wind us up by branding us 'lesser fans' and 'Tan apologists' but not the other way around? Okay, good one. If it winds you up then go and have a word with your dearest Barry and ask him to stop ruining almost every thread with his rebrand focused and Tan apologist claptrap.

As I said above, in future I'll rise above it but don't just point the finger this way when there are others doing their utmost on the other side of the fence to annoy fans and whip up a reaction. Its both sides of the coin and I'm at least going to admit that.

It's this simple !
Either you give a Toss about supporting a football team because of allegiance to support your local club that you feel an affiliation with or you don't care who you watch or support as long as their in the Premiership !

I think the argument of keeping quiet so Tan doesn't get scared off is starting to become a bit tired & weak.....

That said guys we still don't want to use this group as a ground to issue threats or slag off individuals please keep that in mind when you are wording your posts.

This I agree with

But remember, YOU were starting a "peaceful" pro blue group. Now you've not only just let the issue lie, you've done a complete u-turn and you can be just as guilty of belittling pro blues. Maybe not to the standards of BU, I will give you that much, but when it comes to the rebrand, ANY opinion you have is irrelevant.

If Tan were to leave, and another owner comes in, can keep the club going at the level it is, but cannot afford or bring in new investment to take the club forward, and agrees that we can go back to blue. Will you still have your tongue up Tan's bumhole?
No.

You will come back with some post that says how amazing this new owner is, and how he's the saviour. You don't stick to your guns, which loses a lot of credibility.

What a total load of twaddle. Totally illogical cause and effect conclusion. If this purile codswaop is the best BU can come up with I'd abandon hope if ever returning to blue right now. Pathetic.

My group was not pro blue as mentioned several times. Stop surmising to carry your argument, its embarrassing. It was not at all on the same lines of Bluebirds Unite, lets make that transparent. It was for a modernised badge with the bluebird as the emblem rather than the dragon (they want the traditional badge) and it was for progression with Tan. Bluebirds Unite I believe are happy for Tan to leave which is not something I stood or would stand for as explained to Chuckles.

My opinion is so invalid you continue to argue your point with me. Brilliant and unfathomable logic.

If Tan were to leave, and another owner comes in, can keep the club going at the level it is, but cannot afford or bring in new investment to take the club forward, and agrees that we can go back to blue. Will you still have your tongue up Tan's bumhole?

All hypothetical and carries no substance. Tan is here for as long as we are successful and he makes money, which he will from the TV deals in the long run if we stay up. If a new owner comes in, I might like them, I might dislike them. They could fund us like Abramovich or they could be lunatics like those at Blackburn. I'll judge if it ever happens.

You will come back with some post that says how amazing this new owner is, and how he's the saviour. You don't stick to your guns, which loses a lot of credibility.

More assumptions and bullshit. 'You will do this', 'You will do that'. I'll go out on a limb and tell you that you know jack shit what anyone will do because everyone is their own person. Stop pretending you know what others will do Mystic Meg.

Baked, Bluebirds Unite are finished unfortunately. They will never be taken seriously whilst the club is in the Premier League and if the club falls to the lower leagues again their presence won't matter because our owner at the time will most likely jump ship and let us sink by ourselves taking out the profit in the process. This may be Tan, it may not be Tan.

The name will be gone next. People can spend their time poking holes in Bluebirds Unite if they want. People can spend their time calling others Tan apologists if they want but all they are doing is taking their eye off the real threat and that is the threat to the name of the club, Cardiff City FC.

Tan with the rebrand and yes he is, I will admit, the catalyst for the division in the fan base, has played a blinder. All of the limelight is taken off him. He says a few words in the media and people act shocked and then straight away the division is in its fullest and you have people either slagging him off or defending him. The split is working in Tan's favour and he's used the fans to his own gain.

Sad but true. When the name change takes place, most likely next summer for whatever reasons he decides to conjure up, the fans wont go mad at Tan, they will go mad at each other again. They will say the name change is bad but the action and the words won't be directed at Tan, they'll be directed at fellow fans.

Re: Bluebirds unite tells its members

Yes but in the right manner and with few members who are known to all and can contribute to the groups aims. A modern badge that is professionally designed and to restore blue as the home kit with yellow and white trim.

Yes, you're right, you did want a "modernised badge" ect. but the quote above, taken from the original thread:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=120946
It was a pro blue group, you cannot deny that

The hypothetical stuff, I will agree, has not happened yet, and part of it is based on how annoyed I get when you talk about the rebrand (which is a shame because your writing in the national service thread was well informed, good reading imo)
However I still believe that is how you would react, maybe I should have held back my annoyance, so for that I will apologise.

None of this is personal JB, you're a good poster, sometimes controversial, and sometimes idiotic, but you do make sense at times.

You need to accept though, that you have lost all credibility when talking about the rebrand and that you cannot be taken seriously on this subject.
