Gestede instead of Odemwingie!?

Rudy is not PL quality but he was on the bench and the best option at the time.

The game was breaking down in midfield and too much possession was being lost by both teams. Rudy was a different option and gave us more time before the ball came back at us again.

Campbell had to come off as he was probably a few minutes away from a red card but PO would not have strengthened our defence from the front, Rudy did.

Plus with the box being packed there was always the chance he could have nicked a headed goal.

I reckon he will start in the game tomorrow night, that will give him game time, and we will see him in the Spurs game for the last 10mins

Well Malky must be on glue ...as he consistently picks gestede ..I think I will side with Malky on this one ...instead of going with a 26year old with an iq of probably 26 as well ...actual facts rudy won everything in the air when he came on ...main problem was it was always outside the box and we had no one gambling on him winning the ball he also ran the channels well ....too many on here got it in for him just like happened with Hudson when he first joined and we all know what he did for us ...rudy is getting on with his job working hard to improve just get off his back and show some support to your /our player/players

It was a good result at Hull yesterday,but why was Peter Odemwingie not used at all during the game? why did Mackay think that Gestede was a better option to bring on as substitute...........why?

I think it was just the way panned out, all I can do is guess but I reckon MM would have liked to have given Peter a run out at the end but the way the game was going he wanted to make changed earlier so brought Maynard on.
