Get a f*cking grip

At the moment ie on form
Toure down here was shite and fernandinho hasn't impressed me .
Gerrard is on his last legs as is lampard
Havnt seen enough of paulinho but Sandro is quality
Wiltshire isn't the same player after his injury and flamini is nothing special
Ramsey is the inform midfielder at the moment but isn't the best

Stop talking shit

I don't think Thomasblue is talking shit and there is statistical evidence to back this in the Premier League EA Sports Performance index of the 100 best performances which after 3 games has the following positions:-
3 Lampard, 6 Gerrard, 8 Frazier Campbell,11 Toure, 38 Ramsey, 40 Gunnarson, 66 Ramires, 73 Fernadinho and 81 Paulinho.
The other players did not make the top 100. Now although Lampard and Ramires; Toure and Fernadinho are the two best placed pairings that doesn't show the whole picture. Cardiff's first game in the premier brought a lot of nerves and expectation and the result was a blip as far as I am concerned, which can be backed up by Campbell only getting 3 points out of his total 76 to give him 8th; furthermore, Gunnarson only got 6 out of a total 48 for 40th. We have been a far different team since the West Ham game. Also Medel and Gunnarson did win the battle against Toure and Fernadinho and Cardiff have played twice against top 6 teams in the first 3 games and the others once. Therefore, taking the official figures plus twice as many tough games and the West Ham blip into consideration Thomasblue has point. Also, Ramsey is Arsenal's in form midfielder as his 38th position shows.

Although I don't agree with the guy, Wilshere is not a defensive midfielder and Ramiers and Lampard are a horrible pairing. Do you even watch football?

Wilshere / Flamini have been playing the midfield 2 behind 3 further forward in Ramsey / Walcott / Corzola or Ozil.

Same way in Gunnarson / Medel pkay defensive to Whitts / Kimbo / Bellers.

Flamini stays a lot deeper. Wilshere is not a defensive midfielder. Wenger plays with a very fluid midfield and they tend to swap positions a lot.

Agreed. To say wilshere is a DM is wrong.

I thought we looked good in possession although feel we need to create more chances / shots on goal.

Great debut from Theophile. He can only get better too.

I worry about Turner though. Thought he looked really cumbersome. Would be good to have a footballing CB alongside Caulker. I wonder if this is what Maxi will develop into. Not sure what the timeframe is with him though.

Overall, happy with the point. Great goal.

Talk about splitting hairs ffs.

If you want to get that pedantic Medel plays deeper than Gunnar, Gunnar has more licence to burst forward the same as Wilshere does with Flamini, Gerrard with Lucas, Yaya Toure can get forward, Lampatd too but they also have mre defensive responsibilitys than the likes of Kimbo, Silva, Nasri, Carzola, Ozil, Kimbo, Mata, Hazard, Oscar.etc,etc.

I didnt call Wilshere a DM by the way and theres more to playing centre midfield than just tackling. The players ive mentioned have to dictate the play. Can Gunnar hit passes like Gerrard and Lampatd? No he cannot.

DMs, Central midfield, engine room whatever you want to call it if you think Medel / Gunnar are the best pairing in the PL then crack on. Send me a postcard when you get to Noddy Land.

On present form the guy has a very valid point.

Back on topic though, Annis is spot on, too many people on other threads complaining about how we should have beaten Hull, too much 'hoofball' etc. great build up & goal from Whitts.
How can any one complain about an away point in our first season in the PL?

Considering they had Man City and Chelsea away I think Bruce will be happy with 4 points from 4 games.

Unbeaten at home and taken plaudits for their performances at City and Chelsea.

Theyve mafe some tidy signings and Bruce has been in dogfights before I certainly wont be writing them off just yet.

Missed the game as away, but great point, I'll take that!!

Glad to hear the Full back and Lewis played well, when called into the first team, I was worried about both !!!
