Platoon!!! :ayatollah:

That's my favourite, Top sound track but could do with being 2 hours longer with The Doors played.

Favourite Character in that film is the well meaning, straight laced, trigger happy youngster who seems to get stronger amongst all the death and destruction, while all the 'cooler' older men slowly disintergrate into dribbling wrecks.

Here are some of his quotes.

What are they doing over there? They're gettin' high, that's what. They think they're something special.

[After Taylor realizes he can't shoot a disabled Vietnamese villager] Fuckin' pussy, man. He's laughing at you. Thats the way the gook laughs. I bet you're crying your little heart out ain't you? About Sandy and Sal and Manny. (Smashes head to bits with butt of the rifle)

Holy shit, d'you see that fuckin' head come apart, man?

Ain't nothin' like a piece of pussy... except maybe the Indy 500.

Hey Junior, don't worry. You got Audie Murphy in your foxhole, man.

You are talking about 'Bunny' pmsl

Yeah that's him, Pure warmonger, even rejects the M16 machine gun for a pump action shotgun.

lol and in the film Junior says the the others 'and Bunny, that mother fucker scares me man!!!'

Bunny: You know, Junior, some of the things we done, man... I don't feel like we done something wrong. But sometimes, man, I get this bad feeling. I told the Padre the truth, man. I like it here. You get to do what you want. Nobody fucks with you. The only worry you got is dying. And if that happens, you won't know about it anyway. So what the f**k, man.

Junior: Shit, I got to be in this hole with you, man? I just know I shouldn't have come

 Top character and a very good actor. Haven't seen him in many other films.

Dead Mans Shoes. £723k budget and a British masterpiece. Brilliant performances all round and best revenge film ever made. I just wish they would have shown how Richard (Paddy Considine) offed the guy he put in the suitcase. What I liked about it was the guys he's come back for could be the scum from almost any town or city in the UK. When they first aired it on Film4, I watched it twice, back-to-back, its that good. May watch it later.

Completely agree. If I had to pick one film only, this would be it. Even the soundtrack with Calexico and Aphex Twin is perfect.
