Smith will be happy to play fewer games at this stage of his career. Squad player with huge experience.

It aint rocket surgery!

Huge experience  Do me a favour you make him sound like Gary Neville ffs.

500 career appearances, 100 in prem league. You make him sound like Neville Neville ffs

Yet he picks His Friend for many years Tommy Smith over Craig Conway.
Conway is younger fitter stronger and an all round better player.

It's clear why Malky did what he has done.

And it's mistake, he may regret.

why would he regret it? neither Smith nor conway will get into the first team.

hardly think he job or avoiding relegationwill hinge on it.

Tad bit of narrow vision there, Smith has been chosen in the 25 man squad, should we need him we can use him.
Smith over Conway!!! That's my point...

I like Tommy but his best days were behind him last season,so to include him over Craig is a decision I found odd.
He had fitness issues last year,Whilst Craig has a great engine at times and does a lot of support work attacking and defending.
He will regret his decision if the situation arises where Smith is a must but isn't fit enough,or can't cope with the pace.
I haven't mentioned Relegation or job risk...

They were your words not mine.

I know Craig and he is the consumate professional and a great lad. Only Malky and Craig know why this has happened but wherever he goes I know he will do well.

So whats with the thread headline then " Why I dropped Craig Conway "
Yet no reason as to why thats my point :?

he wont. Neither player is going to even feauture on the bench with a fully fit squad. He obviously feels he can trust Smith's experience more than he can conway, neither player is really good enough so i dont see that it matters.

Yeah Malky's gonna choose a player as he's mates with him to risk him losing his job

Again where have I suggested that he will lose his job?

These are your words not mine.

I have not alluded once to Malky losing his job, they are purely your assumptions.

You can't really use your assumptions as a counter argument.

Paul you say neither player will get close, which I don't argue with.
What I am saying is Malky has picked Tommy over Craig as a back up....

Which I find obsurd,Tommy has been a great wee player but showed he couldn't cut it week in week out in the championship, whilst Craig was one of the better performers towards the end of the season.
And he is younger fitter faster stronger and currently an all round better player than Tommy.

One or two injuries and Conway could have got a sniff, at least on the bench, as lets be honest weve not got many players who give us width at the club.

Bench nothing, Conway and Noone should be the wingers of choice imo. Bellamy's on his last legs.
