I told you he had swag and style and this is further proof I weren't the only one who thought it.

Yes Vincent Tan is the trendiest bloke I know. What an owner we have got.

Can't wait for my top to come so I can emulate my idols style. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'd much rather have Vincent Tan running Cardiff City than say Roman Abramovich any day.

Whereas Roman might conjur up images of a Gulag Archipelago, Tan conjures up images of a tropical archipelago.

(One there for all you Solzhenitsyn fans ;) ).

Your comments about only being able to say an opinion a few times, well that has nothing at all to do with the topic. :? & was followed up by a personal attack. Only one person derailing things here.

PS I'm glad that you can laugh about VT eroding this clubs identity bit by bit... Because I can't.

I honestly don't get this erosion of identity! I sit in the same stadium next to the same people, I now watch better players in a better league, the atmosphere has never been better as commented on by every pundit I listened to. We have real stability, a top young manager and some lovely new facilities to look forward to. All that changed was the pigment of shirt. Lots of supporters, especially the youngsters, who I might add are the lifeblood of any club are now wearing a Cardiff shirt with pride instead of a man utd or Chelsea shirt. I have watched this club since the 80,s. watched it struggle to attract more than a few thousand people, watch the old stadium rot and watched a shit team play shit football with the occasional cup upset! What glorious history are we celebrating? Our chairman driving our best player (Mark Delaney) to Aston Villa himself to make sure he got sold? Perhaps u like to fondly remember when Kav, Gabs and co were part of a firesale? Perhaps you miss getting rust marks on your clothes from the old turnstiles?
A club is not just about history, of which ours is limited to playing pretty shit teams unless you go back to before most of us were born, a club is about the future, our children supporting our club competing with the very best with pride!
The future is bright, the future is Tan, the future for Cardiff is red. With our without you chuckles my old boy.

Who said anything about history?!

Identity isn't deemed by success, or the fact that you have better players to watch or a top manager coaching them... It's the fact that Cardiff City were known for wearing blue shirts & a predominant bluebird on the chest..

The bluebird is becoming less visible, the team were even introduced as the dragons on Saturday, and they don't wear blue shorts at home. That's why the current Cardiff City are hardly identifiable compared to the pre Tan days.

That to me, is erosion of identity... Nothing to do with players, managers or stadia.

It is you talking about history, we are now into wearing red for the second year , historically we wore blue yes?

Ali didn't introduce us as dragons last week, he gave the bluebird soar dragon roar speech, I must admit a bit cheesy! Historically we used to only gave a bluebird, now we gave a dragon too, being a proud Welshman being associated with a dragon is no big shake to me.

You will find identity is very much dictated by success, the most well known clubs are the most successful ones, when you hear people talk about Man Utd or Liverpool it will soon be backed up with talk about what they have won and when they won it!

The bluebird getting smaller against the quality product my club is now, along with the benefits my local community are reaping from having Tan in charge, I know where my vote is going!!

Correct those comments were nothing to do with this topic, but they are comments which a very large percentage of this MB would agree with when comes to your constant whining on & on & on & on & on about the same subjects & the same boring old comments :D

PS if you are going to play the victim card in response (as you usually do) i.e. the classic "more personal attacks" moan  then let me save you time; it is. :D

I know you aren't used to having a consistent opinion JB, but that's what most people do.. Have an opinion and stick to it.
