All our "Football Manager" experts forget we are talking about a well educated, privileged middle class kid, who fully understands his value and the game.

His family live in the north west, he lives there. He can afford to do what he wants. London may be lure, but Manchester or Liverpool may be his preferred location. Any more goals like Saturdays and the big 6 may come knocking.

Agreed. Just because a player who has no connection with us decides, perhaps with influence from his manager/father/agent, doesn't want to join us I say 'so what'... people hoping he breaks his leg because of it are immature in the extreme, pathetic even. Good luck to him and while I would have rather him have a good career with us good luck to him anyway. He's still a kid.

Why do you think he messed us about so bad? How do you know he wasn't seriously considering moving here?

I would take him and hope we go back in for him.

I agree. My personal opinion is that he would have come to us but his father wanted him to remain at Blackpool and his agent thought he could have gotten a bigger move.

It is a pure guess on my part but because Ince senior gave a couple of interviews stating that it is important for Tom to be playing regular for the development of his career, it has made me think that it could have been the case.

Regardless though, if there is a possibility to sign him, I hope we do.

I see your point Carl about no guaranteed spot.........but now we've got Odemwingie and once he's fully fit, do you think Bellers will always be guaranteed a start?

No I don't and I would not be surprised if we see less of Bellamy as the season goes.

I agree, although I quite like the idea of Odemwingie on right, Bellers back on left where he is definitely more comfortable, but where does that leave Whitts?
Great options all of a sudden :ayatollah:

Whitts into Gunners position at home

Bellers is better on the left. I agree it would be good if he were displaced from the side at the moment.

But don't write him off yet. Bellers is off form at the moment, it's not an aging thing. He has always had good vision and when playing well (which I reckon he isn't) his decision making is brilliant and rarely wastes possession. When playing well he has end product.

Defo be happy if we went in for ince again in January as he is a good player and we still need anther top quality winger imo

Re: ' TOM INCE '

Hes the best player in the championship by a mile and is destined for the top in my opinion
Id definetly be happy if we went back in for him in january

Re: ' TOM INCE '

A definite conflict of interests where Ince Snr is concerned, how can he have the best interests of Blackpool FC and his son at the same time? If Blackpool fail to get promotion and Ince Jnr leaves for next to nothing next May or June then perhaps the chairman will be asking Paul Ince some rather awkward questions. I would definitely go back in for him though but I would imagine a lot of clubs will try to sign him.

Re: ' TOM INCE '

The Blackpool chairman was on Newsnight last night, (Monday), talking about transfer fees, Bale etc. Came across very well.

As for Ince. Well, he turned us down. Happens all the time in football. Malky cannot guarantee anybody a starting place. Besides, both Inces gave the impression that we were not good enough for them. Fair enough. Move on.

I would still like him but we won't stand a chance in January, at 3m - 4m he is a bargain I can see most top sides being in for him

Re: ' TOM INCE '

Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:02 am

Think liverpool messed up over ince
Sell on clause meant they get half of what he sell s for
So they could of bought him for half of what anyone else would have to pay
That would of been good business as they could of sold him on for a profit or loaned him out
Its looking likely they will get nothing if he becomes a free agent
Cant see blackpool being able to convince him to sign a new contract with buy out clause as the inces are in too strong a position come may next year :ayatollah:

This. The way I see it, he is a young player who's just had a kid. He said that Cardiff wanted to speak to him, so he gave them that chance. He listened to what Malky had to say but informed him that - with a new born child - his family had to come first.

Also - he had no affiliation to Cardiff, why should he show us loyalty over his family and existing club?

In terms of his abilities, he's exactly what we need right now: A lightening quick winger who score goals. Come January, his kid will be a little older and therefore it'll be less of an issue to move to a new home. Ince will also be available for less than £5m. I'd be delighted at the acquisition.

I think if City are floating around 10th in the Prem then maybe we'd be a big enough move for the lad to consider. Plus getting him for a cut rate is something we'd be mad not to look at.

The 21-year old has attracted a lot of attention over the past six months and was reportedly heavily tracked by Tottenham, Everton and Cardiff City but decided to remain at Bloomfield Road.

“I didn’t feel that, right now, I wanted to move to Tottenham or Everton. It is flattering to have that interest in me but it is about playing for Blackpool and enjoying my football,” he told Sportsmail.

“I went down to Cardiff to speak to Malky Mackay and what a guy he is.

“They are a very strong team, they got a fantastic result against Manchester City and it wasn’t to do with any fears that Cardiff might struggle.

“I’m based up in the North-West, I’ve just had a little girl myself so I felt the timing wasn’t right to move my family down there and make that sacrifice.”

Why are we even stil talking about Tom fooking Ince?! There is zero chance of signing him now and even if there was who would want him?! He clearly said he wants to stay with Daddy and his kiddy.

Ah, that's where it is. Saw a vid version of that interview but couldn't find it. I think what he says is more than far enough right? He certainly didn't deserve to get slagged off as much as he did on the Cardiff forums... Not that he would've seen the comments.

Hope we go back in for him in January.
