That's the best badge we've had or will ever have, I just wonder if those people who ripped the piss out of you for being a city fan weren't walking around with Red shirts on or even supporting city would you be so bitter about it? Also personally I welcome all new fans I'm loving seeing our stadium sold out for every match.

Firstly i think the Tan smiley would add good comedy value .
Secondly Cardiff Kid said "Knob" because it his opinion and he is entitled to express it. He has no official say if the creation will go ahead, so not much point in arguing it really.

i find it amazing that something as simple and pointless as a  (smiley) can cause fans to abuse and berate one another to the point where they question who is a more loyal supporter.

Further evidence for me to suggest that although Tan may have provided a major platform for a dispute, there has always been cracks and an eagerness to fall out within our fan base and always will be,Blue,Red,yellow or Pink.

I'm a Cardiff City fan. A blackmailer and a disrespector of the bluebird won't change that.

I never call anyone a sell out. I will gladly criticise anyone who has the lack of self respect to wear red shirts, but at the same time, it is their choice, just like it's my choice to criticise that decision because I think it is an insult to the history of our club.

What bugs the hell out of me is that there are people going to games now who wear the red shirts who I know for a fact used to take the piss out of me (and others) for watching City only a few years ago.

I'm all for new fans, but our club is slipping away from us and we should frikking well stand up for it.

Bit confused here? Are you against red shirts or only people who used to take the piss out of you who now wear red shirts?

Also how are YOU standing up for the club by making personal criticisms of supporters who chose to adopt our new colours? To me it seems you are trying to find a dividing line which validates you continued support for Cardiff City by attending games but absolves you of doing something radical to support your so called values.

It doesn't matter how much you wriggle you have accepted the rebrand by attending games. Like me you can stick to tradition by wearing blue, but you are no different to anyone else and you certainly are not some football version of Che Guevara in leading a fight against Premiership football

It's about belief and whether people really care about the club, Barry is illistrating that many don't have much faith in Tan despite his assurances but as long as the signings keep comming they are willing to let a 100 year old identy go.

Everyone seems to love Tan and believe every word he says, yet when it comes to him leaving, they choose to not believe him about this and fear that we will go bust...

Maybe because it doesn't suit their agenda...

When the Jack Walker estate sold to Venkys they thought Blackburn was being left in good hands.

When Shepard sold Newcastle to Mike Ashley, he thought he was leaving them in good hands.

Truth is, owners may look good, nobody knows until their feet are in the door.

Of course, but some people seem to trust Tan on everything, except this quote. You either trust him & believe he won't leave us in the shit, or don't trust him.. You can't pick and choose, depending on the subject.

Quite frankly, Mike Ashley's been an alright owner, can't see how you would say otherwise.

Personally, I don't trust Tan the dictator at all & would quite happily watch him walk out tomorrow, that's just my personal opinion though.

Mike Ashley is hated by Geordies now, I wouldn't want Tan to leave he is the Best owner we have had & I doubt anybody who may replace would be as ambitious as Tan, even If we were left in safe hands. This is my opinion chuckles just so you know.

What you call ambitious, I'd just call unsustainable & don't think it's worth our pride & identity, each to their own.

Certainly wouldn't call someone who has split the fan base & destroyed the identity of this club as "the best owner we've had".

Each to their own though.

I'm still proud of our club & our identity is still intact, you must still have some pride and recognise that our identity is still intact otherwise what would be the point of supporting a team that you don't identify with.

I don't see how you can say your pride isn't intact?

Identity with Colour fair enough.
Identity with Crest, difficult. The Crest has been changed recently and will be changed again in the future.
Clubs alter their image via strips every season. Southampton and Bayern have both in recent seasons gone from stripes to full colour then pinstripe again.
Our Crest is the symbol that gets advertised. On match days, TV programmes,Billboards and other advertising Media's.
It has been changed several time over the past 10 years...

But going back to Pride, how can the clubs image being altered affect your pride?
If you feel you cannot accept the rebrand but you still support the club so you wear blue... You do so with your own pride.
If you feel your support will not be affected by any change and wear the red then wear it ... You do so with your own pride.

Good for you. I don't have the same pride talking about Cardiff City that I once did. We used to be recognised as a strong and loyal fan base, a fan base I thought would never let this happen to their club. When I mention the club to people I meet, first thing they talk about is the rebrand, not promotion/premiership football & for that reason, I don't have the same pride.

Wy are you going on about crests for? Personally, I'm not that bothered about the crest, for me, Cardiff city at home should be wearing blue and white at home & the fact that they don't makes it feel for me that the club has lost it's identity. The pushing of the dragon more recently (we were announced as roaring dragons on Saturday) also makes me feel that the club is losing its "bluebirds" identity.

All my own feelings, of course.

I meet plenty of different people when I travel to Scotland to work all the time for work the first question I'm usually asked is if I'm buzzing about how well Cardiff are progressing at the moment. I'm the one normally bringing up the rebrand and almost all of them are in agreement with my views.

Every one is different and will view things differently.
I live in Scotland and talk to new people on a daily basis. They hear my accent and assume I'm egg daft, though I've no issue with egg( i got issues with supporters though) I do inform them I'm more football and boxing than Rugby. I get asked pretty evenly if I'm honest, rebrand premiership etc etc, though the most common question is "Good Scot in charge what ya think of him?"

Yep most conversations with me are including the Scottish players in our ranks, past and present. Usually ending singing Kevin mcnaughton you are the love of my life the Aberdeen lads love that.

This has gone from asking for a VT smiley to a full blown rebrand thread, one reason why this forum has been very quiet of late. CCMB lite.

P.S I am not referring to Chuckles as for once it was not him who initially derailed the thread before people attack him.
