This would be the cream on top of an excellent summer for us. Although I suspect Everton may be sniffing around also.

Whelan says Wigan have no interest in selling the 22-year-old, who was named man of the match in their FA Cup final win over Manchester City in May.
"Callum McManaman is not leaving Wigan," added Whelan.
"He is a great talent with a bright future and we think we can develop him. He's going nowhere."

Not a promising sign...

He's quoted in the Daily Mail as saying "I'm a winger and my game isn't about tackling." (After his horror tackle on Haidara).
Would he be suitable for us? As we've seen recently, the whole team needs to defend sometimes.

As long as he tracks back he'll be fine.

Taken a bit out of context there I think.

It was an article about him apologising for the tackle and explaining that the reason his tackling is so bad is because he isn't a defender.

A good signing and one that i had hoped for if it comes off VT is splashing the cash fair play really do hope we get him we need a winger so badly .

I love the old style wing play and he would be great at it really do hope we get him.
