Personally I think there will be one or two in by Mondays deadline but honestly don't know who, and to be honest it's sometimes better that we don't know until its done. Gutted when I heard earlier that an almost definite had turned into a doubtful within hours. Sometimes though there's nothing anyone can do. As said above, Malky will take care of business. Surely this happens in a lot of deals, the buyer wants to pay as less as possible and the agent or buying club wants as much money as possible. If its the difference between staying in the Premier League or not, it's a no brainer. I would rather pay an extra 1m and stay in the top flight than skip and save and go down !

Apparently City were looking at Odemwingie who is not an out and out wide man but who are they likely to get hold of at this late stage in the transfer window? May be struggling to bring in another wide man before the transfer deadline.


As with Wanyama, if he is that good then pay the extra and get the man you want.

Personally I have great faith in the information given. I understand that due to circumstances beyond their control sometimes the information can be out of date almost as soon as it is posted. That is NOT the fault of the messenger and contrary to your view the fact that Carl and others report any changes enhances their credibility in my opinion.

If he signs, he signs, if not Malky moves on.
Carl stated himself that this deal is very fluid and changing constantly. Hence in this case he does NOT know what is happening.

Will he sack his agent to join us? He basically stopped him from playing Premier Leage football.

Why is it the majority of decent threads on this message board get turned into "Carl, Annis or City Gent is wrong again"? It's getting old this online slap fest. I spent most of my life living in Cardiff, moving to the US in '04 I really missed being down the city with the lads.... Between newsnow.co.uk and this forum - I've felt a bit more in touch with home and the banter. But to be honest the constant petty squabbles and the spin to either Blue v Red or the bashing of other members if god forbid "life" gets in the way of a transaction or two will end up destroying this forum. Thank god for Twitter and more importantly NBC for airing every City game live.....
