IMO Velikonja was never given a proper chance to shine at City, I don't know what's with all the animosity towards him also I'm still wondering why we signed Kadeem Harris either good player but again never been given a proper chance in the first team. I would allow Velikonja to go out on loan to fc porto no probs if he gets first team football. however in Malky I trust he's the best manager I've ever seen at Cardiff :malky: :malky: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Hes not really saying hes bigger than the club, he just wants to play football and hes never been given a chance here obviously all he wants is a chance or just to leave and play football.. Im not saying hes good enough but if hes never going to play why should he hang around in the reserves when he can go back to where he came from and find some form again

I didn't say he did say that. That was what I said and I stand by. Even Bellamy isn't bigger than the club.

I think he has done enough, he is banging them in for the development team & his ability is brilliant.

Hes not getting his chances because Malky simply doesn't want to play him.

I think Malky is a great manager - but he hasn't handled the Etien Situation very well and if I was in Velikonja's position i would be getting frustrated.

More to just doing in development games and so forth. If he did it in training he'd be picked. Hes not getting picked for a reason. He either lacks the heart and fight needed for the task at hand or he's not good enough. Either way, is he going to benefit the team? We, as a team who needs to battle this year for every last point, cant afford the luxury of Berbatov type players who just float around up front waiting for that golden opportunity to score and poach. You look at Whittingham and in the first 2 games he's upped his physical game ten fold and got stuck in more. Thats the type of dogged spirit we need in the team as we'll be on the back foot a lot this season.

I would love us to be able to afford to have players like that in the match day team but we're not a team who controls games and puts teams under constant pressure and can have this player lying in weight. Etien hasn't shown me anything to say he's a striker who mixes it up like Campbell does and we need a striker like that.

Reading did well for so long because they had Shane Long who hounded defenders. When he went to WBA they struggled because the ball kept coming back on them and his work rate was definitely missed. The difference in their game play was clear to see.

Let the boy go and play football, malky has no intention of playing him ,think he has been treated harshly by malky seeing as hes the one who brought him in after saying he'd tracked him for ages.We have cover in the position and hes not gonna be used ,why waste the lads time.

Given 45 minutes at Hull last season- what more does he want ;)

Has anyone else noticed that both Velikonja and Kiss are no longer on the official Cardiff City FC website? You can't find their player profiles under first team squad or DVP. Another sign they are both on their way out in the near future?

I agree here, how anybody can say he's really had a chance is beyond me. However with it clear he won't get a chance then ot would be best for everybody if he was allowed to move on.

Mackay's reply, “It’s okay to say you want to move, but people have got to want you." Ouch.
