The colours were probably spilt evenly, the team had a blinder so red and blue passion I would say or maybe it is just about Cardiff CIty?

Of course it was a failure. When I was in Canton there were less than 500 fans on the march with a lady begging people on a microphone practically to join in. A man wearing a red top also go abused.

500 of a 27,000 crowd amounts to roughly 1% of our support.

Yes there roughly 500 there when they went passed the Goscombe. If you think there were more you are completely deluded. And sorry 500 is roughly 2% of 27,000.

Hat off to you Annis , you have pro-actively championed the wearing of blue as a means of getting the message across ! The amount of blue in the stadium yesterday was frankly , astounding !

I did see someone inside the stadium with a "I don't have to sell my soul" T-Shirt on. Inside the stadium taking a seat fgs.

They raise awareness and get the blue conversation going, they've been very important and a lot of those on yesterdays march have put fortunes into our football club. while expecting nothing back.. Bit of respect needed.

THE MARCH /WHAT NEXT

It will just peter out now.

On the day Cardiff City played its first top-flight home game in 51 years BU could only muster a few hundred participants (to call it a thousand is being generous). 1,000 fans out of 24,000 home fans is only about 4%.

Yesterday was the was first time many people around the world will have ever seen Cardiff play. What they saw was a team playing in red beating the mighty Manchester City and that is what will stick in their memories.

The more Cardiff continue to play in red and become increasingly associated with the colour around the world, the less likely that a change back to blue will occur and the BU cause only becomes evermore forlorn.

If 10,000 had turned out for the march yesterday I would have been worried that there might have been trouble for the club in the months to come, but given the numbers that actually did turn out, BU is obviously now just a busted flush.

If you want an identity then visit Khao San Road in Bangkok (driving licences, passports, the lot!), otherwise enjoy the football.

What i was most happy about was the march went off without incident. I still feel a divide with fans but that didn't affect the atmosphere in the ground.

I was also very happy there were no we'll always be blue chants, just plain old support for Cardiff City FC!

Im sure my maths are right. 540 = 2% of 27,000. There for saying 'roughly 2%' is accurate.

I am sure plenty took notice, there was media interest and most importantly there have been no horror stories suggesting that BU acted any other way than dignified

All good and well carl but where do they go from here.Did anyone take any notice, the result tday overshadowed everything.

I would suggest Sian tries to organise a meeting with Tan.

Yeah right, with a 100m in her purse. Sorry Carl and co. I have supported City since 1977 yes I was dismayed and annoyed when the colours changed but businesses evolve to survive and yes football is now a business and not a past time for the owners. I work in one of the top 20 companies in the world and without rebranding and evolution my company would not have achieved that position. Look what we have achieved in our 1st season of rebranding :o

So time to move on unless she can fund the club in the same manner VT is. To hear that some of the BU started to bully people into taking off their red shirts is despicable, we are supporting Cardiff City not the colours!

My point was you initially posted a different figure NOT that above ,alongside a mathematical estimation of 500 no doubt to belittle the efforts of those who chose to stand up for their beliefs ! Hence , to trust your estimation when your basic maths was incorrect would at best , be open to debate !

Did he say that on Twitter or Facebook?

Clough is a relic from a bygone age with no more relevance to the modern game than Ebeneezer Cobb Morley. (Clough may have won the European Cup back to back but he was also a controversial figure throughout his career and a sozzled, confused old man at the end).

What do you classify as a supporter? Is it just that hard core that attend every match, both home and away ? Or does it include the millions of others around the world who watch in admiration, longing for the chance to perhaps one day, be able to visit the stadium and watch a game before their very own eyes?

Manchester United claim to have more than 300 million supporters worldwide. Do you think they only pander those in the stadium and disregard the rest? Of course not.

While only a tiny fraction of that 300 million will ever get to see a match played at Old Trafford a huge chunk of their revenue comes from the rest in the form of merchandising and TV rights - and in return the club acknowledges them and pays them respect, not least with tour matches during the summer break.

Domestic Manchester United fans have accepted and gotten used to the idea that their success in no small part comes down to the revenues it earns from fans living in far flung places across the globe. Local fans have grown up and accepted that Manchester United is no longer simply a football club based in the Trafford area of that city; it is no longer merely their property; it has become a global lifestyle brand, an experience that you can buy into from anywhere in the world just by using the 16 digit number across the front of your card on the club website.

The merchandising Man Utd sell pays for the team and the team sells the merchandising. What Manchester United have created is a virtuous upward spiral that has (much to my chagrin) kept them at the top of English and European football for the last twenty years. The more merchandising they can sell, the better the players they can buy; the better the players they can buy, they more merchandising they will sell. Repeat ad infinitum.

It is only when you accept modern football at the top level is based on this model that the Cardiff City can continue to enjoy success on the pitch. Our Malaysian investors know this, and they have kick-started that virtuous spiral by providing funds to Malky for him to invest in better players. It is those fans who refuse to play their part by rejecting the rebrand simply put that virtuous spiral - and hence the club - at risk.

I'm afraid you are the one that is being ignorant to the fact that football is not a global business these days. FIFA...footballs governing body is one of the biggest brands in the world and do you think Blatter and co are doing it for fun..no..they are doing it for huge salaries which can only be sustained by running the game as a business model which involves evolving.

Sponsors? Do you think that sponsors just throw money into a club for no return...certainly not, if the club profile is not helping renumeration for the sponsors then they will pull the plug. That is why football is now a business for the board and owners to make a success of it and to be successful on the pitch investment is needed off of the pitch in any way, shape or form.

Things have dramatically changed since the era clough made that comment, do you think Cloughie would have turned his nose up at huge investment for rebranding? I don't...Don't get me wrong if we changed back to blue tomorrow I would be delighted but it is not going to happen and the more protests that take place a further divide between the fans will happen which will have countless consequences. Wear blue to the game YES wear red to the game YES fight with eachother NO.

Time to put all the anger behind us, as what you saw on Sunday was down to passionate fans, players, coaching staff and rebranding! 37 more points to go.

Fifa isn't a football club and i'm pretty sure football would survive without fifa, but would it survive without Brian Cloughs, players and suporters?
Fifa is a global entity but that's not even run like a business more like a mafia clique.
