That's your opinion & you're entitled to air that.

I disagree that it's "vital" & I'm also entitled to air that. :malky:

Zzzzz

Where have I rubbishes anyone else's opinions? I've only claimed that it isn't VITAL to succeed & backed it up with evidence of clubs that have succeeded without it.

West Brom, Norwich, Swansea, Southampton.

Whereas QPR had this "vital" support from Malaysia & failed.

Have you seen Swansea's shirt sponsor lately...?

Swansea survived for 2 seasons with in the premier league without it. which was my exact point.

So I ask again, how is having Malaysians commenting on social media, vital progress. :malky:

You are twisting words he never said that the progress of Malaysians commenting was vital

He said that PROGRESS in itself is vital, but you have twisted the words to make your own stupid argument seem reasonable to yourself

I don't see any Asian fan base as vital progress at all. .

Went to Malaysia on a family holiday admittedly not in the last 6 months but since Tan took ownership and there was very little knowldege/sign of Cardiff City merchandise then. Vincent Tan was known but that was about it. I guess with promotion things may have taken off a bit.

Again this is not an overnight thing we are only in the second year of rebranding but picked a few fans from our League Cup venture, it would be nice to see a few photos from the coverage in the Asian countries

Whose saying Asian progress? I'd want my club to progress either way, whatever the nationality and business plan of the owner, it just so happens that the owner of our club is Malaysian an has targeted the Asian market, if we were owned by an American and marketed over there correctly I'd still class it as progress. Wow Barry you could start an argument in an empty room

Is that what the op said. I read it very differently, as it would appear, so did every other person. Your opinion is based on something that you have mis-read or have deliberately twisted to fit your mandate. The must be a name for someone like you who repeatedly makes the same mistake.

Right I answer that one.

When VT stepped in we were losing 1.2 million pounds a month playing in the second tier of English football, he decided that for his own reasons he wanted to make people aware of our club in the far east in a bid to increase revenue from a previously untapped market for our club.

He was trying to balance the books.

The fact that welshpaul has heard that the marketing scheme appears to have worked must be good news for the club as their attempts to tap into that market are working.

gav,you say that before vt you were losing 1.2m a month.is that correct as i seem to recall you losing 1.2 a month under vt?.in fact up to the end of last season.iv heard it,s more now..tbh if vt after causing all this crap with his uncalled for rebrand didn,t push ccfc aggressivly in malaysia i,d be suprised.of course it should garner more money for you which on paper would be classed as good.whether in a couple seasons people will be so pleased with the rise of ccfc in malaysia we will have to wait and see.the more interest in ccfc in asia the more tan will think a name change is in order to make that part of the world feel involved.

I've seen kids wearing the red top on streets.
I don't think adults really wear them around on non match days.
People have always loved to wear club colours on holidays.

Same here. I've just spent a month out there on business, the only thing they associate with Cardiff is Ryan Giggs. Very few of the people I spoke to had even heard of Bale! Liverpool and Utd shirts everywhere, I saw a couple of Chelsea and that's about it.

Tan is well known, a few people asked who else is involved with City. Apparently, he rarely invests on his own, there are a group of investors that tend to follow the others investments. It will be interesting to see if anyone else buys into us if and when he takes full control.
