Oi negativity is not allowed on here
I will be happy if we can get a shot on target
Who knows, I don't think Man City have beaten us since 1984 (but we have only played them once in that time)

Don't forget that man city have never won at the ccs either! Think I'm clutching at straws!

Realistically we will get beat easily, but you never know in football. If they have an off day and we play out of our skins then something extroadinary can happen.
The supporters have to play our part aswell. A lot of people in CCS have never seen city lose more than 3 games on the trot
Ive got a miserable fucker 2 rows in front of me in the canton who gives me a dirty look everytime I get behind the team.I just hope thenoise doesnt drop if we concede first
Fri Aug 23, 2013 5:32 pm
If we go defensive with no width at all like we done vs westham i feel we will get a hammering, i would rather see us have a go and lose 5-4 than lose 4-0 to man city at home atleast we can say we had a go then, smashing it up field to there back four will get us nowhere bar the ball comming back with them in to are half, we are not expecting anything from this as fans if we are being realistic when you compare our squad to theres

Stop worrying about it and enjoy i reckon. We are playing the richest owned club on earth.
we are living the dream!

Don't think we will but believe we can, think the atmosphere will be electric to start. It's down to the players to get right at them from the start and make it an uncomfortable afternoon for Citeh.
We've earned the right to be here, so let's just give it a right good go, I'd say realistically there are possible half our games where the so called experts give us no chance of a result, this is our first of those. Anything is possible, we shouldn't have been able to hold Liverpool over 120 mins at Wembley and Wigan certainly shouldn't have had a hope against Citeh. Can't wait and whatever happens it's the first of 19 games where we HAVE to play our part.

What you get out of something normally depends on what you are willing to put in......over to you Mackay i think
Fri Aug 23, 2013 10:27 pm
no chance
Fri Aug 23, 2013 11:20 pm
if we go in at HT level anything could happen 2nd half
Fri Aug 23, 2013 11:24 pm
it,s about a performance imo on sunday.even if you lose but make a fist of it then it bodes well.i don,t think just trying to soak it up all game is going to work.i don,t see you have the pace to hit em on the counter .so somehow mm has to formulate a plan where you,re tight but actually trying to attack them at certain times.going to be interesting..the crowd will be a big factor.you must stick with the team no matter what.blues turned a few over in their first prem seasons so anything is possible

"Don't ever become a pessimist... a pessimist is correct oftener than an optimist, but an optimist has more fun, and neither can stop the march of events." - Robert A. Heinlein
I always try to look at the positives and for me we are in a no lose situation. We're expected by most to get hammered and thus anything less can be viewed as a positive result.
This is going to be a tough ask but I really feel we can get a draw out of this game if the players go out with the right attitude and are not too defensive as we were against West Ham.
A key factor to achieve a result will be the crowd. Even if we go behind we have still got to get behind the team. Let's face it we are not expecting to win so just enjoy the occassion for what it is and sing out hearts out for the boys.
I'm going for a 1-1 draw, Cornelius to equalise in the last 10 minutes.

ME

KEEP THE FAITH

I reckon that it will be a scrappy game up until just before half time, when we'll grab a goal. Then we'll frustrate them all through the second half and they'll grab a late equaliser...
For me, our players now know and accept they were too cautious at WH and need to open up some more - they won't want to be like that again, regardless of who we're playing...

No chance, what so ever, and too many people expect a danish boy to be the finnished article in his first game aged 20.
We'll be lucky to score nil.
Sat Aug 24, 2013 12:05 pm
The pools panel would probably have tomorrow's game down as a '2'. We'll see. Some shocks happen, but its difficult to see one tomorrow.
This is a new experience for some City fans. (Not all of us, mind!). Going into a league game, fully expecting to lose it.

My sentiment as well.
The next game is all important to me. Lets hope we bounce back and not lull on the damage to the start of the season.
