I can see Tan giving Malky the boot if we're not in the top half at Christmas. Surely he has to stick with Him for the full season. I'm confident Malky can deliver, Tan just needs to learn the game. That's the reason I'm glad Sam is back

If we lost 5 games on the bounce, Malky is a dead man. only 4 more to go.

I guess he should do the same as he did when he landed Brayford, Medel, Caulker and Cornelius :malky:

Absolutely appalling performance at West Ham, Shocking.
Mr Tan won't stand for much more of that crap.
Maybe Mr Tan has taken the cheque book away from Malky.
Malky will be gone soon.
That is All.

I know Malky won't give up,but he will end up with players lower down on his list.

Later on in the season when the transfer window is closed, you will all end up hearing about Malky's frustration at trying to attract only the best to Cardiff, so no matter what happens this season please don't blame him.

Also I know that Tan was stunned at West Ham away at how we were beaten and was not a happy chap.
He has very little patience regarding loosing.

Remember give Malky your full support no matter what happens this season. :malky: :malky: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I would love to know who told you "Tan was Stunned at West Ham". I spoke to him and Mehment Dalman at the hotel on a few occasions over the weekend. They were both relaxed and fully coherent in what the Manager is doing. Stunned about the result simply not the case at least it certainly didn't show. However 3rd party tales sometimes give a false picture. I honestly think they treated the result like the rest of us , just disappointed I would say from my first hand impression. Weren't we all.

I really think I'm going to stop reading this board, if the posts in this thread are sort of indication about the quality of future posts. The negativity and relentless witch hunts by certain posters are just ridiculous. It's going to be a long hard season, and it's time some of you realised that this; flying off the handle after every bad result isn't going to do anybody at the club any good.

Re: " MALKY/VINCENT TAN & NEW PLAYERS "

Not surprised Tan was shocked we lost. Everything this summer has suggested he thinks we are now a premiership club and will stay that way eg new tier with 5,000 premier seats, new big screens, giving away £1m to charities. It's all good stuff but will look silly if we go straight back down.

I fear for Malky especially with the start we've got, I expect us to stay up but still be in single figures at the end of November. Tan will see us stuck in the relegation zone and won't understand we've got better fixtures to come. I think Malky could be gone by Christmas because I think tan wants to see us safe in mid table and I don't think that will happen this season.

One point I disagree with is not blaming Malky because if he is targeting players out of our reach who end up not coming then he is not doing his job properly. If we put in bids for messi, bale and ronaldo but didn't get any of them that's not an excuse for relegation because they are rudiculous players to go for. Most of the names we've been linked with are well out of our league. Aim high by all means but not out of reach.

A good post but the truth doesn't make the natives restless.Bit of gossip mixed in with bullshit and innuendo is the best diet for most on here.Like I've said before we've always had trouble getting decent players down-its part of our history and tradition(The 2 most misused words on this forum)

We seemed to completely choke against West Ham ,no composure, poor decision making and seemingly no gameplan.Very worrying indeed, although a fighting performance against Man city will do us a world of good
Malkys a Cardiff City legend whatever happens for me but I do fear that is inexperience will cost him his job unfortunately

Re: " MALKY/VINCENT TAN & NEW PLAYERS "

Sneggy, I really appreciate your common sense, every time you post.

Malky has brought new players in.
Malky put out a team that had more possession than West Ham.
Malky put out a team that hit 10 more long balls, Cardiff 75 - 65 West Ham so not really that much more hoofball than they are.

Malky knows that a team needs confidence, needs to gel and needs stability.
Malky knows that he has to rebuild his team after spending 2 years developing a team with a backs to the wall fighting spirit.
Malky knows that's his job and it will take a little time.
Malky knows he has his boss backing him.
Let's back him too.

Lol Tan pissed off about loosing the first game in the Premiership, he isn't patient is he, he is pretty smart so really he should notice that this isn't the Championship with mostly championship quality players, most of these players in the Prem are internationals but reality is that he isn't going to be happy with loosing games.
The thing Malky can do is up the game bit by bit keep working hard and hopefully we will get our chances to get few points on the table, maybe against Man City ;) :malky: :ayatollah:

Sorry Annis fed up of hearing the same old, same old.

There are hundreds of players around the world who could improve this squad, the fact he lets deals drag on so long before the inevitable knok back is showing how naive hes been.

The tactics Saturday were shit and tean selections and substitutions also naive.

Will end up with a couple of panic buys deadline day.

Malky brings passion to the club but is very much climbing that earning curve ! He will be fully aware of the responsibility on his shoulders ! Personally , I thought we were poor Saturday , dreadful defending with both C & N given acres to slot home ! Possession , can be everything & nothing in football , keep the ball when you're a goal to the good & it's the former but if you can't do anything positive with it when you're a goal down you're not gonna worry the opposition !

Our style of play frankly disappoints me , we lack penetrative width , are looking poor @ FB and need a quality partner for Caulker ! I'd like to see Brayford play Sunday & personally think Hudson needs to start ! Left back is an issue , Taylor for me , is not good enough defensively and Declan John needs time to develop prior to PL footy !

I do hope Cornelius is a hit - we need someone with presence up top !

Would like to see a cuppla quality wide men who can hit the bye-line & deliver !

Medel for me , could be the ace in the pack , provided he can keep a lid on things when our backs are to the wall , as no doubt, they will be !

Malky needs time , he's been here just over two years & already delivered a great deal , I very much hope he can conjure up the goods , but don't feel Tan will give him until Christmas even ,if things are looking perilous ! He sseems like the sorta character to wield the knife !

Fully agree with Coco re: Additions.....

First and foremost, we need to be solid defensively. And with Andrew Taylor at LB - I'm worried. He's far too ften giving his winger too much space to deliver a cross and not putting a foot in - you can get away with it in the Championship as the finishing is not always great, but in the Prem - he's got no chance.

Another CB alongside Caulker who is comfortable with ball at feet and has some pace is a must then lets build up from there.....

We need to remember that we did not have a striker score more than 8 goals last season and, again, we need that addressed, yet we shouldn't rely solely on A-Corn - a lot of work to be done in the next 10 days IMO - and I truly think we're 5 signings away from a confident looking team.

*****This is Just My Opinion - I've waited many, many years to see us in this position and passionately want us to succeed*****

Tan will always keep smiling to the fans and look happy, don't forget I've spent 3 solid hours with him and seen that first hand.
All I will say is Tan was stunned and shocked by the defeat at West Ham and said that to people close to him. Tan is not use to losing, nothing wrong with that, I actually like winners and respect them on those points.

Its pretty similar to Southampton last season. Mainly kept a championship team with some big money transfers on Jay Rodriguez & Gaston Ramires. Nigel Adkins was pretty much adored by the Southampton fans but they werent doing very well in the league so they acted fast and got shot, bringing in Pochettino who pushed them on and kept them in the PL.

I hope MM can get to grips with this league so it doesnt come to that.

Theres no doubt foreign managers attract the better foreign players due to their links/ties etc with them. That does not mean to say I want malky out. Southampton is a good example with their recent signing of osavaldo with his links to the southampton manager, and of course swansea have attracted top spanish players due to the 'laudrup factor'.
