We need a defender who is willing to be composed in control of the ball and play it out into midfield. If we continue with Turner we are going down. He is the main reason so much pressure is just coming back on us because he lumps it up there and gives away possession.

The team as a whole made 385 passes of which 288 were accurate, 75% pass accuracy.
Whittingham was the next player to make the next highest amount of passes, he made 48 in total with an accuracy of 81%.
Get the ball to El Pitbull and let's go Gary Medel la la la
Funny you mention this. Yet when Leon Britton did even better most claimed it was because he was passing backwards.
Britton passed 74 times in one match and had 100% accuracy if memory serves.

A stat that was omitted was that 47% of his passes went forward. This equates to 28 passes forward.
Therefore almost half of his passes were positive. Not sure how this equates to the legendary Sheffield United failure. Be interesting to compare the 2.

It shows the level of footballing intelligence between the two sets of supporters when cardiff fans assume a pass that isnt forward isnt a positive pass.
In order to play a passing possession game, it is imperative to firstly... Keep possession, and then keep moving the play precisely to lure the opposition out of their rigid formation. There are countless times every match where our passes have forced the opposition out of their designated position to which Leon then switches the play from left to right to our wide man to start the attack down the flanks and exploit the space. Yet because it isnt forward you think its negative, its bizarre.
Leon knocking a 25 yard cross field ball to set up an attack (usually the case) or medel knocking a 5 yard ball to gunnarson who plays it back. And hes the more positive : lol:

That rated Gary as our 7th/8th best player. Odd to say the least. Looked one of our best players tbh
Very odd John, I thought Medel was our best player, calm and measured with his passing

Yawn Roathie still trolling I see. Tippy tappy football is boring to watch and it was good to see it getting the lesson it deserved on Saturday.
