f**k TAN INDEED

So because someone doesn't like the owner they can't go and support the team they've always supported?
What a load of bollocks

I haven't told anyone to not support or go watch the team...
So because someone doesn't like Tan it gives em the right to abuse the man and slag him off,but still subscribe to his product?
What a load of Bollox in f*cking deed..

So the football team I've supported all my life is now a product?!
Do me a f*cking favour.

Dry your eyes and do yourself a favour

We want to be a successful premier brand. Yes or no?
Tan has fronted the money to market this product/brand.
We want it to be as successful as possible..
This is premiership 101 so welcome to modern football

The man with the right answer. So many infact that it made the original protest very small potatoes by comparision. The only mistake Tan made was in thinking that the original protest represented a huge majority of fans-he soon knew better and the rebrand went ahead.

I bought a chicken from Tesco the other day, it came in blue and red stripe wrapping! I'm absolute f*cking fuming now! They've gone and made this chicken even f*cking tastier, garlic herb marinated right through, cooked with a secret recipe oil to enhance the taste that reacts with saliva in your mouth, they invested in a secret laboratory that adds and test special chemicals and ingredients to my favourite chicken, to get the best flavour you can imagine possible, not only that once it is cooked through it says on the packet that to finally prepare the chicken, they slide it through a conveyor oven that BBQ flame grills it at optimum temperature for a brief moment to give the skin your favourite outdoor BBQ crispy flavour. AND you know what, the CHEEKY BASTARDS kept the price the f*cking same!In fact its actually cheaper than some of the other bloody brands on the shelf! would you believe that (Twats)!!!! Only down side is now It comes in a frigging green packet, so need to get used to picking up the correct item now! How angry am I ?

In Fact how Hungry am I now after writing all that! time for a munch, laters...... :laughing6:

CONTRADICTION!!!!

Which is it Chickles?

I am laughing at your response to merlins post which in your opinion wasnt valid or related to the topic...

Or am I laughing to your response to merlins post which is relevant to the topic therefore making your previous statement complete tosh?

The whole issue is becoming a f*cking joke anyway!!!

A statement that was made prior to the fans appealing for the rebrand and investment, getting used as an inaccurate lie to suit an agenda!!! What not funny about that?

Re: Stumbled across this.

No contradiction here. The only contradiction on this forum is when you complain about someone posting a rumour, then do so yourself. :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

You're laughing about a post which is poorly trying to compare the rebrand of this club to some sort of chicken.

Whereas, I cannot yet joke about the rebrand, nor will I ever.

Love how when people start losing debates they drag up debates from other topics....

And it's even better when they fucked up in both of em

Some people should debate the topic at hand if they can? And not the opponent they're debating with..

Tan has come through and 90% of the stuff he promised with only the shares to go...
He could take us to premier league and European glory and make us one of the biggest forces In the world....
Some fans would only remember Red and label fans who support the club as soul sellers...

I am greatful to Tan for all that he has done, just wish he had approached it differently...
Wouldn't abuse him for it though.

That is exactly what happened. I remember the time well and the backlash against those who are still trying to spoil things for others was immense. It is no good quoting people out of context (the OP) in order to make a point. What was said at the time was that the proposed £100m investment to grow and stabilize the club wouldn't go ahead without a rebrand.

If it didn't rebrand then OBVIOUSLY we would continue to play in blue and the support which VT had provided up until then would-not be guaranteed anymore and we would have to look else where for investment.

So basically we could stick or twist. Most fans were happy to stick because they couldn't see a visible line of billionaires queuing outside CCS to take over and feared for our future otherwise.

Those who wanted to 'twist' were happy to play Russian Roulette with the clubs future. We will never know if that was the correct call but common sense and the balance of probabilities would indicate it wasn't.

Yes VT has come through with a lot of his promises and the debt to equity will follow shortly.

Only my opinion but I believe the delay is totally down to the new financial fair play rules. VT is currently loaning money to the club for our amazing splashes into the transfer market. So the more he 'loans' us now the more that will be wiped out at a later stage when debt is converted to equity.

The FFPR's dictate that we cannot lose more than £105m in a 3 year period i.e. £35m per season. We have already spent the best part of £25m+ with more to come. So it makes perfect sense to wait until the Transfer Window closes before converting all of that into equity. In one full swoop we have cancelled all our spending this transfer window and are well within the FFPR guidelines.

Amongst other things it will make us a very stable club financially and may be an attractive proposition for the Far East stock market.
