I'm more worried about the fact that Connolly started at RB on Saturday when 2 recognised right backs were left out of the team all together. I shudder to think that it may have been a tactical decision by Malky. I've said in a post on Saturday tht this is the first time I've been worried about Malky.

In all seriousness if we play as we did vs West Ham then we will end up relegated by Christmas. Sounds negative but the tactics definitely need to change and Turner needs to be dropped. I dont like criticising players as they're part of our team but his hoof ball is starting to wind me up.

doesnt sound negative, sounds impossible.

I remember how this place was when we lost to Bristol last season.... or lost a 2-0 lead to palace, or got stuffed by Charlton....

Eventually, it all worked out ok, we need to give it a certain amount of time.

I'm surprised Angelis49 hasn't posted on here yet as this topic is right up his street but I think Malkys inexperience or otherwise at this level is not a factor at the moment.Even in the 70's it was all about getting players to come here at all and nothing has really changed in that regard. If we want the quality here to keep us up we'll probably have to pay over the odds to get it-we always have. The biggest challange Facing both Tan and Malky is to change the perception of CCFC to both the players and the football world.Believe it or not our Tradition and history doesn't look good to serious ambitious footballers trying to get to the top.Malky done a great job selling this club to 2 genuine good'uns but we need more.

Biggest issue to me was the inexperience of John and a cb at rb.
We set out narrow so you expect the full backs to get past the wide midfielder, the amount of times John gave a 1-2 with whitts then pulled out or stalled his run rather than trust whitts to clip him in behind the full bag was frustrating as the kid has the pace!, conolly could not get up and down to support attacks.
In defence connoly got turned easy and never blocked crosses and John stood off way to much.
McNaughton (best defensive full back we have)and Taylor in for man city and play two wingers, 3 man midfield of mutch, medel, kimbo and 1 up top ;)

Completely agree with Polo. Your problem is hes spent too much on too few. As a result, you still have a championship team in the main, and last years championship was the worst in a decade.

You needed 7 or 8 solid experienced top level pros. You have ended up with 2 kids, 1 decent championship player and an inexperienced (prem level) foreigner. Sheer naivety on Malkys part and it showed up in West Ham. I have always maintained the strength of the prem and how weak the championship was last year and it showed. All three promoted teams beaten and i think its a trend that will continue, hull probably stand the best chance out of the three at the mo.

If you bring nobody else in then i feel theres only one relegation place left with you and palace occupying the other 2. And thats shocking after spending £30m. More than twice the amount we spent in two full seasons which got us european qualification a cup win and a top 10 finish.

You had a real chance to spend wisely and become self sufficient but it looks like its another guaranteed loss which is criminal with the prem income being at its highest. Time will tell if you get another chance.

More than happy to take your point on board if you can back it up with anything other than generic forum insult rubbish. As it stands your contribution is about as useless as Rudy Gestede in a scoring competition.

As for being a WUM then that means you are getting wound up, if you are wound up by simple facts then you really shouldnt be here.

He makes some good points but then he has to ruin it with the Swansea comparisons :sleepy2:

As for Gary Medel inexperienced at PL so what  He has played at 2 world cups, has over 50 caps, and has played in an equally as good, if not better league. Hes the only one who looked at home in the PL on Saturday and that was after only meeting his team mates 2 days previously. No worries on him.

I make the comparisons because its the closest club to me. Everything is a comparison when judging your ability, be that a simgle player or a team. Considering we both are similar sized clubs have had little historic top level success and are from the same area its a very valid comparison.

As for medel, yep hes experienced never stated otherwise. So was Seba Veron and a whole host of other South Americans that have been goos in La Liga but unable to make the same impact in the Prem.

I can't take you seriously with this name though and I think you should choose a more sophisticated name and stick to one account like I have done. I think you come up with good realistic points and should have a name to reflect that. This name just makes you come across childish and therefore I might even have to put you on ignore. Serie A then, i didnt specifically mean that keague just foreign leagues in general. Forlan is another. There are numerous players that have excelled in foreign leagues but dont cut it in the Prem. its a completely differing style to the continental football you see in Italy, Spain and France.
