Annis is only staying for this prem season anyway and he deserves it after all these years and hes done with the club like alot of others who feel the club is miles away from its fans, things will only get worse in time ( more rebrand) no doubt and its up to that person to make his/her decision at the time :ayatollah:

I think now with Sam back who we know Annis is friends with i think Annis getting involved with protesting against Tan would make it awkward so took a step back?

Jinks, you are way of the mark once again, I would protest against Tan any day and will never forgive him for taking our Identity away, This is 100% nothing to do with Sam and Sam knows I want Our BLUE back before any Premiership football.
I had decided to distance myself from BU before Sam came back, but BU are at least fighting for Our Identity back.

Just curious after their initial pro stance.

Paul, I attended the meeting at the Corporation pub and was asked to be on the stage supporting the group, I listened to what was said and liked what I heard, asking fans to wear blue at the games and not to stop attending matches.

I will continue to wear blue at the games and despite what others say myself not attending another meeting has nothing to do with Sam Hammam returning.

Sam has nothing to do with me attending or not attending any BU meetings.

I was asked by Annis to go a meeting at the Corp and give the group a chance, I attended and listened to what was said, I offered advice on part of what should be said on the night.

The question is, do I believe the group is doing everything correctly, then my answer would no.

That is my opinion and doesn't make my opinion the correct one but I think the group could do things differently and would benefit more for it.

When under the microscope like the group obviously is, then it is extremely important that everything that is said or done is absolutely word perfect.

The aim of the group is one I believe in, the way to achieving it could be done a little differently in my opinion.

Another very important point is that after the meeting I attended I was asked to be on the committee but when I read several comments on the message boards and Facebook that it was a vehicle used by myself and Annis for self promotion I felt my up front involvement could harm the group before they started so that is the reason I supported strongly initially but slowly backed away after 48 hours.

The only people saying that were the key board warriors from CCMB. Users over there who no one knows and will most likely never know due to the key board culture there is.

I'm afraid the mistake taken here by BU are where a couple of their high profile members responded to these key board warriors by announcing you or Annis have no say in the campaign. So you get the impression they have asked you to comment/go on stage then next thing you are nothing to them. I'm afraid that was not very diplomatic. A reply such as you are a highly respected member of BU would have been sufficient.

Basically BU were trying to please these keyboard warriors which really if they thought about it was a waste of time because whatever was said they, the keyboard warriors, would have still criticised BU.

Not convinced solely wearing blue is gonna do the trick ! VT doesn't appear to be one to shift stance too easily hence I'll be at the Celebration March Sunday ! It's not gonna guarantee success by any stretch but by my reckoning the more the pro-blues voice their disdain for the butchering of our club's identity the sooner that identity will be restored !

We cannot get away from the fact that there have been some regrettable posts/opinions voiced but atm BU seems to be the best option , dare I say the only option to 'challenge' VTs obsession , Iv'e chosen that word after much contemplation ! We've got to begin somewhere , that somewhere for now is BU , the most disappointing factor is that certain pro-blues seem to have been alienated & that only helps one colour , RED !

100% agree with this Carl and that's why I set up an alternative but learning from those mistakes. You can only live and learn.

I've wished Jon Candy all the best on Twitter and hope they do get us back in blue and stop any other potential changes and I and other members of our group will be making our stand our own way we believe is right. We all have differentiating opinions and we are all equally valid to hold them. Its time we respected one another as fans of the same club regardless of the opinion the other person may hold.

Its a funny world, yes yesterday I said I had distanced myself from Bluebirds Unite, but still wished them well and I have kept it mostly to myself why, well lets just say a lot of shit stirring and lies were being thrown about behind the scenes, but not by members of BU and I had been holding back till I knew the truth, well the truth is they were all lies and they were all thankfully cleared up today.

Remember this Bluebirds Unite mean no harm to no one, they just want everyone to not forget our identity, history and want our rightful BLUE and Badge back with a prominent Bluebird and also want the rebrand to go no further, which sadly looks like it will with a name change eventually.

Like I said before I am still my own person and will I will never give up until we get our identity back.

To many people slagged BU down lately without knowing any facts, so just remember this Premiership football is not the b all and end all, Identity and Pride to me means more

Now I will stay of this topic.
