You are probably right he will stay, but it's not because he wouldn't want to go to Arsenal, it will be because he is under contract and you can't afford to let him go........

If the player wants to leave and the price is right, we will let him go. Assuming it gives us time to bring in a replacement.

It's my opinion that Michu wouldn't want to join Arsenal. He will leave next summer for a better club than Arsenal.

I don't see why any player wouldn't want to join Arsenal.

He wrangles himself a three year deal and if he's successful he can force a move to one of the big boys in a year or two anyways.
None of their fierce rivals are better than them either.

Michu won't go there but I wouldn't be surprised if Williams does, for the right price.

Why wouldn't michu go to Arsenal?

Because he wants to play for Laudrup and would also be cup tied for the Champions League. He'll be gone next summer though, if Laudrup leaves.

How is he cup tied?

He's only played in the pre qualifying, that doesn't cup tie does it?

If we reach the group stages, his appearances in the qualifying rounds make him tied for the Champions League.

Can't he play for them if he reaches the knockouts?

Dusting off the eligibility regulations now as I'm curious :o

Yes he can, but the chances of that seem fairly slim

They've reached the knockouts for the past 15 seasons! :old:

I don't think they'll even reach the group stages let alone the knockouts :thumbright:

Arsenal have an uncanny knack of guaranteeing themselves atleast knockouts and 4th place.

I fully expect them to somehow manage to drag themselves into those positions.

I have to admit it looks less and less likely every passing day though

Maybe Wenger is getting more desperate to get some players in ????

Hope so, Chicos fecking shit, him and Monk would be class :ayatollah:

Why wouldnt we be allowed to play Jordi Amat?

If Arsenal make a bid around the 35-40 million mark, I can see them going. Williams is the wrong age to turn the move down and Michu will see it as a step up in his career. Also Swansea have shit loads of midfielders so I can see them playing Bony up top with Shelvey behind. 35 plus million is a lot of money to turn down.

You can't just judge a players ability on how they faired against Robin Van Persie, Chico was our best centre back last season in my opinion. I don't think you dealt with Mobido Maiga, Joe Cole and Kevin Nolan  Lets see how the likes of Caulker and Taylor fare against some real attacking quality in Manchester City next week, a team that we conceded one goal to in our two games last season with a centre back partnership of Chico and Williams.

I'd like to know why your calling Ashley Williams, 'Cashley Williams'. It doesn't make any sense, if he was in it for the money he wouldn't have been playing for us for the last 5 years.

Chico and Amat are better than caulker. Monk is also better than hudson or turner, but it's all irrelevant because if Williams did go then we would sign a replacement and have a big kitty to do so.

Agree with all that.

If we get a bid of £10m for Williams, he will go. If we get a bit of £30m for Michu hell probably go, if these bids dont come in, both will stay,

Its a pretty simple equation.
