We looked a bit overawed today, gave them to much respect, didn't get shots and passes off quick enough, which is all understandable, giving that we are new to this level. I remember our first game in the championship against Rotheram away, who were no better than a mid table team, yet made us look very, very ordinary and were so much quicker than us, so it's as, we all thought it would be and that is a steep and hard learning curve! I have faith in Malky that he will bring the quality in that is needed before the window closes. A positive today was that both Medel and Caulker looked class

Very unlucky today and Howard Webb is obviously anti Welsh.

i agree with you. also the grass was a little bit undercut, and did you notice. west hams goals were a lot bigger than our, same old english always cheating

Yep, we still need a couple more quality additions, but I think despite having Man City next, today will have been a wake up call for the boys and I think they'll take it on board going forward - the likes of Bellamy will be drumming that into them; we can't give teams that much respect and we need to get in their faces.

It won't be a picnic for us this season, but I don't believe we're doomed from the start like some people are saying.

We're in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to next week...

You'll be a different proposition at home. And it's at home where you'll need to pick up points. As jtc said, there's no shame in losing at West Ham.Both our clubs had a massive wake up call yesterday.Us for being a bit over confident and you for being the exact opposite. You was like rabbits caught in the headlights 1st half but Malky done his job at half time for you and you improved. You'll probably lose to Man City next and all hell will break loose on here but there's plenty of points to be picked up along the way.especially at home.

You are becoming way too sensible on here, I am genuinely worried

Seriously though, yesterday was a bit of a reality check for the players and dare I say it our manager.

We mustn't forget that Malky is still learning and being in that position in the Premier League is unforgiving, I can understand Malky's thinking about keeping it tight and trying to make us compact but we still need to create clear cut chances and hopefully get a shot on target.

There is a long way to go of course but in this league you don't get a run of 'easy' games, I just hope that if we have not got a point or two after the Everton game that fans or our owner don't get twitchy but give Malky the time I feel he deserves.

Competely agree with you again, which is abit worrying. But I agree first half we looked shell shocked and as the commentators said you could notice the difference between the players who had played in the league to the others that hadnt. It was a tough lesson but I'm glad we had it so soon.

Travelled up to watch the match and must say you looked really poor. Not to sure if it was nerves or that your new players haven't adjusted to their new surroundings yet but if they haven't then they best do and do so fast.

It's only one lose but get into that mindset of losing then its freefall. Good support and Cardiff were loud from were I was sitting. Cant upload pics via my phone for some reason but will when I make it home.

Cheers

If your going to any of our other away games, pm me,you can meet up with us for a drink.
Fulham away?

Probably won't do Fulham at the moment as got myself into a very awkward situation and not to sure how the 10th of September is going to go and to be honest I'm dreading it so can't commit to Fulham but will do Palace as tickets will be easy to get. If the 10th goes my way then I'll attend and I'll PM you.

Would have replied when I got home but didn't make it till the morning as got into some bother at the 'All Bar One Bar' at London bridge station over a book that I was reading, a stupid book, unbelievable.

Regards.
