it doesn't matter. its 1 of 2 games played against west ham, this fixture will not come up again. if you don't capitalise then you lose the chance, its the same whether its the first game or 21st.

Can't disagree with that, It's something we all know, you play a side twice and the aim is to score more goals than them, are you new to football?

im glad you agree. chances to pick up maximum points are at a premium at this level, fail early on and the pressure mounts.[/quote]

The need for points is lowest at the first game.

That's not true at all and shows Premier League naivety. This league will chew you and spit you out.

Your next 2 fixtures are a microcosm of the league. Fail to pick up anything against West Ham then you face Man City and the task to get off he mark is made harder. you generally need to pick up points against the weaker sides taking the pressure off the bigger games.

To hit the 40 point mark you need to average more than a point a game. Lose today and lose against Man City then you got into the Everton game knowing that even if you pick up all 3 points you are still behind the points per game schedule.

 This is based on Swansea great start in their first season, is it?!

Jesus, I've provided plenty of evidence to show you that you're talking rubbish... And you still go on.

Notice you totally ignored the point of Southampton - lost 4-1 at West Ham and survived, unbelievably.

This game is one of the easiest away games. it WILL NOT come again, not in march, not December... not again this season. The importance of this game is obvious to all who have been in the Premier League, failure to win puts pressure on the next game... not a game in March.

We lost 4-0 to the Champions away Barry. your being a little obtuse now. we picked up points from most of the games we were ''expected'' to. but again you are ignoring the fact you spent 3 times more than us.

Southampton did very well, I believe they have a much much better squad than you so again can afford the blip as their ability to beat other teams are greater. this isn't difficult.

How many did Man Utd lose? Chelsea? Arsenal? Swansea? Liverpool? Man City? Everton?

the sooner you realise you are in the prem the better for you. West HAm will be ONE of the biggest opportunities to pick up points this season.

You are once again avoiding the question, you stated that this will be "one of our easiest away games" based on what?? and i'll ask you the original question again, how many home games did west ham lose last season????

based on the fact they are one of the easiest teams in the Premier League simple really.

I don't know how many they lost at home last year, if its not many good job you weren't playing them last year then I guess.

They only lost 4 home games all season and finished 10th, so on what grounds are you making out this is one of our easiest away games???

You weren't in the league last year - its irrelevant. more than half the league lost 5 or less games at home last season, that just the quality of the league. im not saying its an easy game but its certainly one of the easiest. Play MAn City away then come back and see what you think

ive already answered what im basing it on. Im basing it on the fact they have one of the worst squads.

I come on here cos I'm excited about my team playing their first game in the Top League for 50 odd years, then read this garbage with a sad Jack troll posting before many people were even up and then replying with more responses in a thread than many City fans would post in a week.
Get a life Roathy, you really have issues!!

We can only go on last seasons stats, so your drivel is a load of bollacks, anyway, i've wasted enough of my time on a retard like you, i'm off.

So it's irrelevant to go on previous years stats when it comes to us, yet you're relying on past results to judge whether us getting a point today or not will see us doomed?!

a forum is not a physical place Barry, it can be accessed almost anywhere.

I don't have to convince anyone, its pretty obvious what im saying, as backed up by castleblue on the thread below.

exactly, its not a physical thing, I cannot be on it.

Southampton had a great squad, my theory was nothing to do with good sides dropping points against winnable opposition it was the famous and widespread notion that the weaker teams have to pick up points from other weak teams or the job becomes hard.

nothing difficult.

your ''evidence'' was based on a completely different team

That's like saying Bony will be good because Suarez is.

Southampton lost to a very good West Ham side LAST year and due to Southamptons quality squad, they were able to take points off the big guns to make up for it. You have a very weak squad and along with Hull and Palace will struggle if you don't pick up early points against the easier teams as me and many others don't feel you guys have the sufficient quality to pick up points from the likes of Utd, City and Chelsea..
