Because it's stil MY club that is being turned into Man Utd, Bristol City, Liverpool, you name it. I did actually want to one day be able to watch them again, I apologise for that ridiculous concept.

You boycotted last season, i understand your situation. Im getting at those that went last season and now decide that a few red seats and they arent going anymore. So the seat colour is more important than kit colour according to them. Thats what i dont get.

A lot of people are at the end of their tether with this rebrand, and may see this as the final nail in the coffin. What exactly is hard to understand about that?!

This may be my last season down there, had a fecking guts full with this rebrand. Club just doesn't feel the same anymore.

I tell you what annoys me more than the rebrand and that's the constant arguments and thread derailing about the rebrand. Everyone know's everyone's positions, there's the Pro Blue (some being members of Bluebirds Unite or KCB), and there's people who have accepted the rebrand, reluctantly or otherwise. No one's position is going to change so there really is no point in the constant threads and arguments about the rebrand.

To a certain extent I agree with you like with Sam Hammam and Steve Borley. The dividing lines have been well drawn and both sides are well entrenched and seems pointless going over the same ground time and again.

However, the rebrand is an on going situation. When there is a significant development then obviously both sides will want their say. I would say the installation of 5000 red seats is a significant development and is bound to stimulate debate.

That said like CraigCCFC I don't understand how 5000 seats is the last straw for some as far bigger changes have happened when the playing kit and badge were altered.

As stated it was always going to happen and is another difficult part of the rebrand for us to swallow. That said I would much prefer that than any fiddling around with the name of the club. TBH if that ever happened then it really would test the patience of those who have adapted well to the new image of the club.

Red seats will just make it a lot harder for anyone to return us to blue.

All those just waiting for a new owner to turn us back blue, its likely that wont happen if the seats all turn red.

Re: CARDIFF CITY' PLAYERS NEW NUMBERS & LATEST NEWS

Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:26 am

I honestly did not think that they would put red seats into the stadium, I thought Tan would use that fact when he sold on the club to a new owner to become an instant hero buy making an easy switch back to 'Blue'
That easy switch will be made difficult and probably unlikely for any new owner coming in, after red seats are added.

But being one to always look on the brightside, Im thinking this;

Maybe Tan is going nowhere, maybe he has now got the football bug and is taking the red to the next level as that is HIS vision for the future of our club, his club. I would rather we played in Blue but personally im willing to put those feelings aside and embrace all the good that VT is doing for our club.

Red seats?
Red nets?
Red home kit?

Whats done is done, im not going to look back with tears in my eyes, Ive got one of the best footballing experiences in my life coming up, it starts in 2 days time in fact, and I for one am going to enjoy every minute of it.

Next time I see Vincent Tan outisde the CCS and going to walk straight up to him and shake his hand, becauses the goods FAR outweigh the bads.....

After the red seats get installed into the stadium, i cant honestly see Cardiff turning back to blue again, or at least for many many years. If eventually a new owner comes into power, i cant see him wasting his coin on returning the stadium seats to blue.

5,000 New Red seats will be installed and from then on the whole stadium will start getting Red seats.

Once the 5000 new seats are in, they'll start painting the rest of the seats in the stadium

Work will start on the Ninian Stand This October (as Baz stated yest), 5,000 New Red seats will be installed and from then on the whole stadium will start getting Red seats.
There will be a New full hospitality underneath the new stand. Work will take up to 40 weeks.

Also I have heared the roof will come off the Ninian Stand around March or April next year and that the new stand will be ready in time for the 2014 Super Cup Final !

That is true Martyn.

As unpalletable as the red seats will be, it all makes sense to do it sooner rather than later

With the super Cup Final a chance to 'showcase' both club and stadium and our owner's obvious ambition to make Cardiff City FC an extablished top half team (and maybe even higher) the future is looking pretty rosy and we might as well be prepared for it

As another 'poster' said yesterday, "Who would have thought it 10 years ago?" :ayatollah:

You can't see what colour they are when you are sat on them. I'm sure 5000 new season ticket holders will vote with their backsides and buy the seats.

If people want to only go to away games that's fine by me, as well as the thousands on the waiting list for a season ticket.

:malky:

Incidentally, I sit on one of the white seats in the Ninian, and it makes no difference to my enjoyment!

Once Tan changed our shirt colour to red, it was obvious that at some point the seats would be changed as well. So to say that is the final straw now, can't understand that when you have watched the team playing in red

I quite agree. And these views might represent a minority on this board, but a comfortable majority within most season ticket holders and the people of Cardiff :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Disappointed Connolly is number 2. That should surely be Brayford unless he didn't want it.
