Today Cardiff City loaned out Joe Ralls till January 2014 to Championship team Yeovil Town.

I'm working near Yeovil from October so will keep tabs on his progress...sure he'll do well. :old: :ayatollah:

He is one of the best youngsters we have here and Yeovil are probably one of the better teams he could have joined in that league in terms of they are just as ambitious as we are.

I think if they loaned Kadeem Harris too then that would take them to the play-offs atleast... my opinion

Ambitious?
They got the lowest budget in the league they are far from the best club he could join in that division.

With all due respect Yeovil have a great tradition of developing young players whilst on loan with us, and that was when we were relegation favourites in league one. Just because we will struggle does not mean your young players will not learn with us. Some of the recent youngsters who have gained first team experience with us include Asmir Begovic, Alex Macarthy, Leon Best, Andros Townsend and we gave a league debut to a certain 17 year old named Steve Caulker!! I think it is fair to say that they are all doing well for themselves now!

Good luck for the season..

Im not disputing that you are a lovely little football club and I hope the move will do Ralls well.

But thats exactly my point, you are only a little football club, you are more than happy to be in the championship, you are punching above your weight and probably accept thats as far as you can go.

If you can avoid relegation this season then its a huge acheivment.

I was responding to the poster saying that Yeovil are as ambitious as Cardiff which is utter nonsense and also you are one of the best teams in the league Ralls could go to. Well, thats blatantly not true either as you are the smallest club in the championship.

Personally I would like to have seen Ralls gone to a Birmingham or someone with a bigger pedigree than Yeovil, somewhere there is more pressure, bigger crowds, and see how he can handle it.

Anyway, all the best, you seemed to have taken my intial post as a slant on Yeovil Town which was not the case.

All the best :ayatollah:

Yeovil Town are pleased to announce the loan signing of 19-year-old Joe Ralls.

Joe joins The Glovers on a six month loan deal, subject to international clearance.

After having made appearances for Cardiff City in the earlier rounds of the Carling Cup in 2011, the Aldershot-born midfielder made his League debut as a substitute against Hull City at KC Stadium, scoring a sublime left-footed half volley from thirty yards out.

He went on to make fourteen first-team appearances as well as securing his first call-up to the England under-19 squad.

I think this is a good move for Ralls - he will get plenty of first team football in a decent passing side.
