GTA 5 vs Fifa 14

GTA is always a great game but with Fifa you will play it for a good few months until the new one comes out.

With GTA most people play it for a month or two then get bored.

You do know that people still play GTA IV now? 5 years on? Online serves are still very active.

Some people are back on it yes but that is only due to the new one being out soon.

Nothing to do with that. The game was active last year as well. GTA has a lot more reply value than Fifa.

The only game that will come close to it is The Witcher 3.

GTA 5 wont as its not next generation or even PC on initial release and standards are ahead of its time now.

im thinking of getting a second hand ps3 just so I can play the last of us, is the game worth it? tbh I want a ps3 so I can get the god of war series aswell as uncharted, always been an xbox fan but I got a psvita and uncharted for that and it is a really good game

I found the uncharted series better then the last of us. Defiantly worth getting a ps3 for those games mentioned.

cheers any good hack and slash adventure games on ps3 like god of war, darksiders,prince of Persia etc worth having a look at? possibly picking up a ps3 in 2 weeks time

The god of wars are pretty good. Haven't played any other hack and slash.

although as a huge fan of assassins creed, gta im going for them 2, as a personal selfish point of view for 2nd and 3rd

not heard about that game mate, i dont half hate the fact, that the best games are all out after september, never any good during the first part of the year

GTA is more boring than FIFA. You do the missions and complete the story and then try to do 100% as best as you can. Month number 2 is usually just messing about on it and getting police chases and then it gets boring after that. This one might change things though given how much you can do and the multiplayer aspect with bank heists and liquor store robberies will only add longevity.

FIFA lasts for months. I usually play it up until around April/May before I get bored of it at which point I play other games like Saints Row, The Witcher or whatever to fill the gap between the next big release.

Dando is right on this one. San Andreas was probably the only GTA that had a really long time of playability because of all the things you could like going to the gym and the size of the map as well but still nothing on FIFA.

You must be very naive if you believe that

FIFA is multiplayer and a game played between mates before going out or whatever or just to chill out. It has a very strong online base like the Call of Duty series and Battlefield series that are also very repetitive. They're repetitive because thats what people want and keep buying. Why fix something that ain't broken? Thats why they only tweak things because a massive change could kill the franchise.

The longevity of FIFA has definitely in the past exceeded that of GTA games but with the new game being massively strong on multiplayer that may all be about to change. I suspect theres life in the current generation yet and as GTA wont be on next gen many may play GTA this year and get the new consoles in the sales next year when they're cheaper.
