You really are suffering from delusions of grandeur. United. Chelsea. Man City. These fellers
could perhaps field two 'quality' Premiership sides. Does your arrogance know no bounds?

Vorm/Tremmel
Taylor/Davies
Chico/Amat
Williams/Monk
Angel/Richards or even one of Davies or Taylor
Britton/Canas
Jonjo Shelvey/Jonathan de guizman or Ki
Routledge/Pozuelo
Dyer/Hernandez
Michu/Pozuelo
Bony/Roland Lamah + (possible new signing TBC)

So yes I think we have enough to cope with

Not arrogance pal but hard facts. It's what Laudrup has been striving for -2 in every position.

Key fixtures:

Cardiff will host Swansea in the first ever Welsh derby in the English top flight on 3 November. Swansea's home fixture is on 8 February.
Full Cardiff fixture list
EXPERT'S VIEW: BBC Radio Wales' Rob Phillips: "Survival is the target for the club backed by the Malaysian millions of Vincent Tan.
"The eye-catching capture of England defender Steven Caulker from Tottenham shows intent; Craig Bellamy's insatiable drive and experience will be a key factor and South Korea international Kim Bo Kyung looks top-flight material."

Not arrogance pal but hard facts. It's what Laudrup has been striving for -2 in every position.

For instance:

Alejandro Pozuelo - only played 29 times for Real Betis and is only 21. You are saying before he has kicked a
ball in the division that he is Premiership quality? On what do you base your assumption.

Jordi Amat - actually sent out on loan to Rayo Vallecano to get first team experience, hes 21 and you say he
is a Premiership quality player, again, never having kicked a ball at this level ? On what do you base your assumption

Roland Lamah - five appearances for Swansea, couple of those as a sub, he has scored only 3 goals in 3 years
So again, on what do you base your assumption he is Premiership Quality

And what about Possible Signing To Be Confirmed    Are you seriously
suggesting that there's another player out there waiting to come in, you dont know who he is or what position
but you KNOW he's Premiership Quality?

You Sir, are a weapon of gargantuan proportions

Before you signed Caulker and Medel, I would have put you down as relegation candidates ! But with these two I reckon you'll end up about 15th-16th with us finishing hopefully 7th-8th. Next year will be the test for you, will Tan invest more money for you to kick on or will he take the money and run. Swansea will continue to improve as we always have done, I hope both clubs do well with us above you naturally.

What a stupid post. We all knew we would be relegation candidates if we didnt sign anyone. :?

I hate to burst your bubble but after xmas last year you started going backwards. results dont lie.
You only won 4 games. That was relegation form. But hey, thanks for taking the time out to join
the board you arrogant deluded jack tw*t

There is nothing arrogant about the post all I said was before Malky signed these two players you don't seem to have the quality to stay up, now you have got these two players especially with Caulker being there to stiffen up your defence you have a great chance of being clear of the relegation zone and that is what any promoted team would wish for. Swansea just continue to improve is not arrogance, it is just a fact.

Do you really think Monk, Richards and Lamah are good enough for the Prem ?

As for Canas, Pozoulo (who you've got in 2 positions  ) and Amat then I doubt anyone on here knows whether they are up to it or not - maybe like a fairfew of our squad.

No doubting you have strengthened - even if you just look at Bony and Shelvey, they have got to improve your squad, and you certainly have the edge on us at the moment, but if Laudrup is happy with that and feels he has 2 for each position then the gap between our respective squads will close over the next few weeks.

A few injuries could also hurt either club, I still reckon Williams is a key man for you and that Rangel too plays an important role (although I'm no expert on your club) 2 wingers, 2 centre halfs, 2 full-backs or 2 strikers out at the same time will also hurt. I don't think you have much cover up front.

At the end of the day though I'm more worried about our squad than yours.... a decent, but that's all left back with cover from a kid and a Norwich reject, only one genuine target man, untried keeper cover, not much quality in depth at right back.... I don't think we are far off down the middle at the moment, but in wide positions we still look weak. Only really Bellemy and maybe Noone who are good enough wingers for this division. A couple of injuries to key players for us and we will look like a Championship side.

Hopefully we'll see 2-3 more in the next few days.

Well the only fact really is four wins in your last five months in the Premiership. That was
relegation form. So your statement that you continue to improve is unfounded. Teams
pressed, pressured and hassled you. That continental style did not cope well once the
opposition upped the pace and started to close your players down. We KNOW we have to
up the pace and prove ourselves. But you lot are starting to sound like you think you are a
top third Premiership side. Pride comes before a fall

Dear, dear after we won the League cup the side went to sleep when we where mathematically safe from relegation and quite comfortably in 9th position. So we improved on the previous position of 11th when Rodgers was manager. Therefore we expect it improve, that's only natural, if you finish about 15'th or 16th, you'll expect to improve the next season. Try using facts instead of bitterness and you'll be a far better person

January, February and March... you only won 3 games. Were you safe then?
Im not bitter. I've nothing to be bitter about. you got to the Premiership
before us. Water under the bridge. I have no fixation on Swansea, the proof
of which is that I never go on your messageboards. All I do is to put my point
across seeing as you lot cant leave Cardiff City alone for 5 minutes. You have
jacks on here who assume Amat. Pozuenza, Camas etc are guaranteed to
improve your side before any of them have ever kicked a ball in Premiership
football before. Well good luck. Cornelius, Gunnarsson, Caulker, Medel, KimBo
Bellamy, Campbell, Marshall, Montero (i think he's a done deal) are all either
established Internationals or have Premiership experience, but I wouldnt be so
arrogant as to assume we are going to be some kind of second tier elite Premier
side with them. A ball hasnt been kicked yet. We will see. So will you.

It's a new season you prize tw*t! Typical Cardiff to keep looking back! Last season was last season, once we were safe, and had won the cup the players were on the beach. What the f**k has the last few premiership games got to do with the next game? Nothing that's what!

As Malmo found and Vitesse before them, we have more than just tiki-taka in our armoury. The Shelvey option allows us to play it long when we need to. The ball gets to our forwards a lot quicker. As for your assumption of hassling and pressurising us - well good luck with that tactic as plenty have tried that and been blowing out their arses after an hour. Most teams sit back and only squeeze us in the last 3rd by piling 8 or 9 back and trying to hit us on the counter. Trouble is now we have plenty of players in there who nullify this by winning the ball back early.

Cardiff would get a hiding if they tried to hassle us all over the pitch as they would be wasting energy chasing the ball. That's a tactic I reckon malky wouldn't use as he knows it would backfire. West Ham tried this at ours last season and it failed spectacularly.

Re: " CARDIFF CITY & SWANSEA CITY FANS EXPECTATIONS "

Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:36 pm

Well the three you talk about are yes unproven but did you hear about Chico, Hernandez and Michu before they came and they pretty well exceeded Premier league expectations , but somehow I'd trust Laudrup's judgement of a player before yours. But you could say the same of Cornelious, Medel and Braysford,it's just horses for courses.
