Re: VINCENT TAN CARDIFF`S GREATEST EVER OWNER

On this site, we see a lot of vehement opposition to the rebrand and equally a lot of vitriol aimed at Vincent Tan because of it, but is he really the sole person responsible for the rebrand? Did any white Europeans for instance nod it through ?

Can someone remind the forum: What opposition was made at board and shareholder level with regards to the rebrand? Who on the board or among the shareholders opposed it and what lengths did they go to prevent it?

What on earth are you on about 'white Europeans' for?

If you are trying to insinuate that some of the opposition to Tan (and very few who rightly oppose the rebrand oppose him by the way) is in any way connected to his racial background, then I would like to heap massive shame on you, because you are taking the debate to a new low?

Is that what you are insinuating? BEcause, that's how it reads. If you are accusing people who oppose the rebrand of racism, then come out and say it, or, perhaps, edit your post.

For the record, I despise racism. I protested against the EDL in Cardiff. The crux of racism though is to take one trait (a belief, a skin colour, and make assumptions on that. You seem to be doing just that with pro blues.

Clarify what you mean please.

Tan def could of been our greatest ever Chairman once of course he makes us debt Free and when he leaves us in good hands, But by stripping us of our identity, he has ruined it all as far as I am concerned.

Our fans are so divided, this to me is very sad.

Exactly Annis.

I feel we are totally divided, which is such a shame.

I have no problem with those who accept the rebrand, or tolerate it, or wear red, whatever.

I do though have a problem with people who go out of their way to slag off pro-blues, or to mock our history or be embarrased by it or down play it.

It's OUR history. You could be a humble family, but you respect and honour your family history, and the same goes with football clubs.

Our history aint the greatest, but it shouldn't be mocked. Tolerating the rebrand is one thing, slagging off pro-blues is quite another.

You could have helped the club change without fundementally eradicating it's identity though Gwyn. I said before, you'll regret it some day.

You should have stressed a willingness to work with Tan to address fans concerns. Instead we've ended up with a divided fanbase and some feeling their club has been taken from them.

All harmonious yesterday, cos it was a pre-season game.

You claim to be pro blue but do NOTHING about it at all.

And how do you know I have done nothing about it, is it because you haven't read about it on the internet, it may suprise you, there's a real world out there, where people talk, discuss and try t make progress without bragging about it on "tinternet".

Do you think your efforts have brought a change back to blue any closer? do you honestly believe you have helped and do you believe protest is the way to get VT to change his position.

My conscience is clear because rightly or wrongly I have always put what I believed was best for the club I love ahead of what suits my personal preference, we are in the best strongest safest position on and off the field I can remember in all of the forty seven yaers that I have watched the club. :ayatollah:

You constantly seem to mock and wind up pro-blues Gwyn. Totally unacceptable for me. I appreciate your level headedness, but I've read not a single thing of yours where you express sympathy, solidarity or any desire to see our club return to blue, something which going forward is in our, the club, and Tan's benefit.
