Other sports have done name changes mainly because their sports as a whole have needed a boost of interest but not football surely.?

When all the talk that Tan could change the club name there where 'some' stating that the FA won't allow them to do it yet now the precedent has been set so this move must be a worry to any football fan whos club is owned by a foreign owner who has no respect for history of their club whatsoever.

Assem Allam is not Asian Adam and if he were to pick an animal from his "Native" country Hull City would now be known as the Hull Camels, or maybe the sphinz. Think of all that mythical power protecting theTiger.

Egypt is also in Asia as well as Africa. Althrough the vast majoirty liesin Africa there is a part of Egypt which is in Asia

You mean the sinai peninsula, so exactly how much of that is in Asia and how close to Bangladesh is it. :?

Face it Adam your whole theory about the "Tiger" brand generating interest in his "Native" county is well bollocks. About par for the course I'd say.

Thats sod all compare to Sky money.

Take a £600 ST and times that by 27,000. (being generous on the figures of course)

£16,200,000

So thats just over £16m the club would lose if 100% of fans of that attendance stopped going plus the season ticket price quoted is higher than expected. Considering around 5% of fans not going is realistic given 95% of fans are quite bloody happy to just have a day out then that's an annual expected loss on those figures of around £810,000. The Sky TV money now eclipses that so i'm sure Tan is going to give a crap about less than £1m.

Considering Tan just gave £1m to local charities I highly suspect he, or the other owners of clubs, would give a feck. There will always be demand because there will always be fans willing to either go and just watch the football or just have a day out. There are Arsenal fans spending over £1k on a ST so the notion fans would just stop going is laughable. A very minimal amount will stop going, the majority will continue to go. Supply and demand is all it is. Im sure someone of your intelligence my dear Mr Magic understands the fundamental principles of a capitalist market. :thumbright:

Also making a snipe at me just proves you are losing this debate Roathie.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah:

This is far too intelligent a post for most on here. If no-one went to a game then Sky would gain even more subscriptions! If clubs don't move with the times they will die. It's only a matter of time before promotion and relegation is done away with and every club in the PL becomes a franchise. It's inevitable, but most on here don't want to see it.

The owner of Hull is Egyptian, I don't know if it's been pointed out as can't be bothered trawling through the posts, but to the op just check before posting.

your not apologising though are you your making excuses, you screwed up claiming people from egypt were obsessed with tigers ie Hull City Tigers, then you explained that Egypt was in both Africa and Asia trying to reinforce your point. Then got corrected and shown up. Now you claim you met continent? Ok then Adam just for shits and giggles which continent were you on about Africa or Asia? Lets see how good you are on searching things on google shall we.

You know I meant Asia because I actually stated ASIA and bearing in mind Ive lived for some time in Asia I would hope that apart from this mistake then my geography is that one level ahead of yourself. However this seems to be your lucky day as I'm sure that you will continue to make the most of my one mistake you maybe I should just leave you have your moment this one time :sleepy2:

Not having my moment just cant stand people who pretend to apologise when all they really do is make excuses and dig bigger holes. If your right your right if your wrong your wrong. Admit it and move on it gets very boring watching people dig holes for themselves

On the plus side I see that you have stopped mentioning geography after I told you about my time living in Asia ;)

what are you on about?

whats liberalism got to do with Hull City changing its name? If you dont like my political stand point thats fine not sure of the point your making.
I dont really care where youve lived and im not going to argue over who knows more Geography than the other its stupid. If youve lived in Asia you probably do. However what little Geography I do know makes me aware that Tigers dont live in Egypt a matter you seem to have forgotten and made the whole point of your thread null and void.

I love a good mathematical argument though he pinched the season ticket revenue argument from me :D

How Barnett described impotency of fans acting solo is perfect arguement for all fans to unify behind organisations like BU and speak in one powerful voice, the fans truly own this game, once the penny drops we'll see action and a restoration of true football values.
