50 post probation and 2 mods to verify those posts. The first 50 posts of any poster gets checked by one of the mods so new accounts don't have their opinion seen straight away and are silenced until the 2 mods deem their opinion worthy, respectful and mature enough to be heard.

Easy to set up on phpbb3 as well. Create new user group called probation and then set that groups permissions so the new members go in there. When a limit of 50 posts is reached they are moved to the basic user group and they no longer need posts verified by mods.

Away fans should have their own thread which only they can post in so they can take the piss but its kept tidy as well. Easy bough to implement as well sing groups and permissions.

Annis, I think you need to start naming and shaming posters that are banned. It would help us to pick out Roathies traits for future reference plus it might shame him into stopping as he'll see how many times he's been banned. I have some genuine concerns about the state of his hard drive, threats of the police would put the shits up him no doubt, nailed on that he's a wrong'un.
