Are you seriously comparing fans who write petitions and organise meeting about the rebranding of their football club, to Hitler's actions?!

Wow.

No, of course he isn't, he's showing an analogy that just because someone does something they believe in, it doesn't make it right, Hitler being the despot he was is a good example, what if people just let him do something he believed in.
Just because you believe in something, that doesn't make it OK or acceptable to the masses.

The factual part related to your rival protest group and the petition and proposed march, the approaching the club from all sides was pre-empted by the word perhaps, so hardly claiming that to be factual, come on Chucks, putting words in people's mouths yet again.

What about Browny? Can you reroute things to pick up such a vocal and supportive ringleader of the "bring back blue" movement?

"The one who does not remember history is bound to live through it again" so wrote George Santayana, American philosopher.

With the BU march in mind I strongly urge all fans to watch this Channel 4 documentary about the potential dangers lurking within group psychology.

The only dictator in this piece is Tan.
He OWNS the club. The fans DO NOT. You have a choice whether you support the club or not, watch the team or not, spend money on games and in the stadium or not. That choice, the free will to choose your own actions, means that Tan CANNOT be a DICTATOR. To label him as such, yet being able to choose, it isn't actually possible.

So we have to leave if we don't agree with anything he does? No open dialogue with the supporters?

Sounds like a dictatorship to me... :laughing6:

Needs to have a few more shares before ownership of the club his is. He is the majority share holder on a board of directors who have to vote on any motions. No dictatorship just yet!

A pleasure.

See, the funny thing is, I actually have no objection to the team playing in blue or red or any colour they want (expect minty buff, don't get me started on minty buff. I swear I'll f*cking swing for anyone mentioning minty f*cking buff  ).

To me the only thing that matters is supporting the club whatever colour they wear. It's still Cardiff City on the badge.

My biggest concern is that BU is a faction, a group-within-a-group and far from uniting the club its actually dividing it. For instance, how many City supporters will be welcome to the march should they have the sheer audacity to turn up wearing the club's home shirt? That is how silly it has got. It's like apartheid was in South Africa.

Personally I think the march should be seen as a fond farewell - for now atleast, after all, all good things come to an end. The test of a person's character is not how you handle yourself when things are going your way, it's how you handle yourself things don't work out exactly as you wanted them to, and if in the future the club changed back to blue, it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to me, I will still support the club just the same.

Personally I am disappointed to discover so many of City's fans are so insecure within themselves they need to put on this public demonstration. This BU march is in many ways a symptom personal under-development and weakness in those taking part, not a symptom of maturity and strength. This BU march won't exactly be an inspiring site to behold, it won't be something that will make me proud and if anything it will actually make me feel concerned for the club.

What it would look like if a red shirt wearing fan turning up to the BU march:

 Somebody doesn't know what a dictator is.
A Dictator is someone who has absolute control and exerts maximum influence on all branches of government and media. They predominantly reign in Totalitarian countries. In such countries, people don't have choice or even freedom of speech, they have only the illusion of it. I don't think Tan is forcing people into Red shirts and to attend all games is he? Or have I got that wrong? I mean, if you disagree you can just not go, no? Doesn't work like that in countries run by Dictatorships. I know, I'm currently living in China. Get out into the world and educate yourself a little.

Why would anyone join a march about getting blue back, in the red home kit.

Your quotes are all very good, but some BU haven't "turned away".

Your complaint that people in red would be turned away in nonsensical because nobody would turn up in red, if they wanted blue back.

I still maintain to this day, anyone who has bought the red shirt cannot call themselves a "reluctant red" as they quite happily have purchased a red shirt.

Has it ever crossed your mind that they've bought a red shirt to show their support for the team they love, namely Cardiff City Footbal Club.

After all we do actually play our home games in red.

Of course & I have no problem with that. But if you have bought the red shirt, you aren't a "reluctant" red.. because you've quite happily endorsed the rebrand with the red shirt.

Personally I think the term "reluctant red" is now outdated.

It was relevant when the offer of investment in exchange for the rebrand was first put on the table but I believe we have moved on in a year, especially as each promise made has, and continues to, come to fruition.

That's not to say that the majority of fans wouldn't prefer us to play in blue because I believe they would. But I think most fans have accepted we now play in red and have decided to get back to focusing on the main goal, and that's supporting Cardiff City FC.

You have made my point for me so eloquently, Barry, I couldn't have put it better myself. BU have made red shirt wearing fans feel unwelcome, excluded and apprehensive about attending a Cardiff City fan event. How can that be right? This is precisely the kind division that BU is causing within the club.

Fans don't wear the red shirt as a symbol of having beaten the blues. If you think that, then I'm afraid you've got it very badly wrong. Fans wear the red shirt because that is what the club wears, no other reason than that.

Isn't that obvious? It's a march against the rebrand! (Thats how i see it, not BU as I'm not a part of them) You can't march against the red shirts whilst wearing one! Surely you can understand that? :laughing6:
