No! what he said was he apologised for causing upset and that wasn't his intention, he withdrew his offer to invest and rebrand and said we could stay in Blue, but most of us were worried that without his support we may be in blue but possibly only until we were wound up be the HMRC calling the debt in.

Now VT kindly reviewed his decision and put the offer back on the table,after the realisation by fans at what the possible outcome could be and luckily for us, he stuck with us,and hence we are where we are because of it.
Those people that see themselves as defenders of the club, are in truth defenders of a colour,because the majority of true fans put the clubs needs ahead of their choice of colour, and that was done in support of the club rather than what suited them personally.

Or are they making a personal sacrifice for the benefit of the club they support and wanted to continue in business. Support is only support when it's tested, good and bad times easy and hard, those that jump ship at the first sign of pressure are hardly supporting the club are they, simply putting their personal preference ahead of what's best for the club.

Gwyn he could had apologized till the cows came home but in truth the damage was and is done and it runs deep. Its just sad to see how easily they turned over for a bit of cash and lets be honest we are just a marketing tool for the far east, he doesnt care about us fans or indeed the club.

No he apologised for making the offer because he had an idea/business plan that marketing the club for investment in the far east in his opinion needed to be done in red.
As for sad to see how easily the fans rolled over as you say, it wasn't easy for any of us, but as I say it was done as a personal sacrifice because we put the clubs well being and success ahead of personal choice.

Now people go on about getting in the Premiership, but success to me and many others is simply staying in business and having a club to support, those older ones among us have had many years of dour football but stuck with it because we put the club and our support of the club first, if it was about success we'd have gone to Liverpool or Man U along with many others. Having a football club in whatever league and one that isn't threatened with bankruptcy every other month is success enough for us.

Those people prepared tom risk losing a club they reckon they support over a change of colour, need to have a good long look at themselves sin the mirror.

The true supporters put the clubs needs ahead of a choice of colour.

There were even statements from the leadership of the KCB saying they would rather see the club go bust than change colour, MAD, and then they go on about history and tradition, yet they were happy for it all to end for the sake of a colour.

So, you added a word to try and prove me wrong? How about debating with the actual post I made, instead of one you've just made up in your head! what a fool.

He forced the rebrand in a dictatorial manner. Forced through his thinking, made a threat of what would happen if it didnt go through & then closed any avenue on debate/conversation about it.

I said nothing about evil.

There is no video, but there were a dozen or so of us at the meeting where the statement was read out, saying that he was sorry and didn't mean to cause any upset or insult and that he would resind his offer and allow us to carry on in blue, but he would no longer prop us up at the rate he was, which I believ was a million and a half just to keep us trading.

Alan Whiteley when questioned said that if we couldn't find new investors to replace that level of financial support the club would cease trading within a few ,months, so yeh, not dead, just hoping that mystery mad investors would come into rescue us, when we were in an even bigger financial mess than before when no one barring the Malaysians showed any interest.

And with regards to Chuckles famous quote he throws up all the time saying that VT said he would leave us in safe hands then good hands at other times, yes I'm sure he would not set out to destroy us, but leaving us in safe hands could mean trading in the Vauxhall conference and keeping the books balanced, may be safe, but not many would want that surely.

Safe hands is one things, generous hands with deep pockets is another.
