I don't think he did. He's played for Ecuador more than 25 times which is usually more than enough.

Not sure about that mate. As the fella above me states he's a frequent international which usually means criteria is met for a work permit.

Would love to sign him up bit concerned it could be 2 different players just watched him v Barcelona home 2012 and it seems some of his play amazing ala Jefferson Montero and other parts are jeff montego!Skins 3 or 4 players 1 minute and then gets tackled by thin air the next.Sign Jefferson not Jeff please.

I wonder how much Jefferson Montero, one of football's 'undiscovered gems' according to Tim Vickery, would cost? £8m sound about right?!

@roathboy West Ham had £3m accepted but he was refused a work permit a few weeks back.

I can't find any articles about him failing to get a work permit. I don't think that was the problem.

He looks shocking in this clip to be honest mate, i'm kind of hoping we don't go in for him...

- He gives the ball away A LOT.
- He shows too much of the ball to defenders, allowing them to get a knick on the ball. Most of the time he regains possession but he wouldn't get it back playing against Premiership defenders.
- The first goal he scored was down to shocking defending.
- The second goal he scored was down to shocking goalkeeping.
- Most of his crossed are drifted in at a square angle making it difficult for attackers to connect with the ball and get any pace on it, this wouldn't be an effective type of cross against decent defenders who are good in the air.

I can't help but feel the Paraguay defence made him look better than he is.

Not sure how old he is, but maybe one for the future.
