Absolute horse shit. I've lived there and watched them with 9000 in the championship/2nd div.
They just got 18,000 in league two pal.
1st day of the season, 2000 which were Oxford fans. The support will fade away

So that's 16k in League 2 then, at home.
I can't see their support dropping. It's like a siege mentality there.

Good luckbut how many pompey would say the same to Cardiff if we ever find ourselves in a similar position?

Fans were protesting? I don't follow Portsmouth crowds as closely as you do, obviously.![]()
It's a siege mentality, fans altogether & support will remain like that. If they stayed down there a few years, I would say it would drop. Not a sustainable crowd at that level, but for one season I can see it staying like that.

Not many, most would laugh at us. Trust me I know. I had 15 years down there and we were a laughing stock.

Yes, I did say that. Someone suggested by the end of the season the attendances would be poorer & I said I don't think they will be and I can't see it dropping. As I said in another post, if they remain at the same level for years, then they will drop.

I don't know why you keep hounding me, I have told you what I think about it.
What football club hasn't got fickle support? EVERY football club has fickle fans. Only the hardcore remain with a club in the dungeon. I remember the attendances we had late 90s as a kid...
I feel though, that because they have had issues, they are rallying around the club right now... However, should they remain there for a while, it is my opinion that the crowds will drop off.

Pompey had no choice but to go into admin and were punished by losing points. Swansea took CVA as a way of clearing debt and because of them points deductions were introduced.

I might be wrong, I thought that was Leicester after the piss takers built a new ground and gained promotion, like I say I could be wrong.

It was because of a number of teams including Leicester but I'll blame the jacks as I'm fed up of hearing how well run they are.
