Erm, because nobody associates Cardiff City with those colours. In fact, Cardiff City, as an entity, have always played in blue, until 2012.
Everyone associates Cardiff with playing in blue & the BLUEbirds should be playing in blue.

I doubt Tan will change now, especially if people protest or try and make him and that in ten years unfortunately it will be almost all red.....

It is that simple.![]()
Then when ownership changes we can have a more vocal say at that point.
In the meantime keep the blue on show and you never know miracles may happen and Tan may reconsider. Not because he sees our protestations, it will be if the red hasn't had the affect on sales, sponsorship and investment in Malaysia and China. You know he'll say he is doing it for the fans though.

Some don't see it as a total eradication of our identity, we are still Cardiff City, we still play in Cardiff, we have a Bluebird on our badge (which must be the ninth badge I remember) we are still nicknamed the Bluebirds.
What we have done is changed our first choice shirt colour to red.

You are deluding yourself in my opinion. Some day soon you'll look around and think 'shit, this isn't my club'.
That's what I increasingly think.
And wearing red IS rejecting our history. Not saying it's not also supporting the team, because it is, but it IS rejecting the club we all knew and love.
I'm sick of it to be honest.

Cardiff City is our club and always will be whatever colour we play in.Fans wearing red are just supporting the team, it's nothing to do with history.

OUR club? Don't be so daft. The club is nothing whatsoever to do with us, and that much is obvious.

Owners come and go but the fans remain.Without the fans there'd be no club.

I HATE it when people bring Riverside into this arguement... were you even alive when Riverside were around?
At the end of the day, people are concened about NOW as CARDIFF CITY not years ago before the excistance of Cardiff City. When we played in Blue, was you the only person in the stand chanting "We're Riverside FC, we'll always be brown & yellow"?
People are concered about our "past identity" but only as far back as we can remember. Everyone on this message board probably grew up watching Cardiff City play in blue and that is what fans are fighting for.
Riverside FC

Doesn't everyone get pissed off with Jehovah's ramming their views down peoples throats?
Let us not bring religion into this though, this is a football forum.
Of course people can do what they want. They are already doing what they want. The majority of our fans just don't agree with them for doing so... and rightly so in my opinion
