Maybe, maybe not. We will never know.

Whatever suits individual agendas, eh?

I'm sure it will happen one day and that would be a shame. But I guess people will simply have to decide whether the club moving forward is infinitely better than it peddling backwards for the sake of a colour

Never expected this amount of (relative) success in my time supporting the club, so just going to get behind the team and enjoy the ride more than ever in the knowledge the people in the background (owner and manager) actually now what they want/are doing. Happy days! :ayatollah:

So to you its only a colour?

No mate, it's far more important than that but there is a far wider picture and for now at least it isn't going to change, so I move on reluctantly accepting the changes in the hope that one day (although very doubtful if the stadium is turned red) any new owner will make themselves an instant hero by reverting back to blue

In the absence of a wallet with c.£100m in it, I guess I won't be the one to take over the club, so with that in mind I choose simply to move on and keep supporting the club like I have since I was a boy many moons ago :ayatollah:

Yes and all our wishes will come true when a new owner appears on the horizon. Just one more question what makes you think a new owner will return us to blue specially if we just sit back and accept everything that has gone on?

No mate, it's far more important than that but there is a far wider picture and for now at least it isn't going to change, so I move on reluctantly accepting the changes in the hope that one day (although very doubtful if the stadium is turned red) any new owner will make themselves an instant hero by reverting back to blue

In the absence of a wallet with c.£100m in it, I guess I won't be the one to take over the club, so with that in mind I choose simply to move on and keep supporting the club like I have since I was a boy many moons ago :ayatollah:

I sincerely hope we do (return to blue) and to answer your question I would think any new owner would look at the whole situation before making a decision. At that point, the fans could make a considered and united approach to the prospective new owner to put our views across without resorting to veiled threats and abuse which could drive the investment away

As I stated above, my concerns would heighten if we should change the stadium to red throughout, as that would be an expensive exercise that might not be worth taking on for any new owner

It's not a case of 'just sitting back' but more a case of 'understanding' how our current owner works and the simple fact is he isn't about to change anything he has already put in place, so with that in mind I just find any 'organised' opposition pointless at this time

The best way fans can show their disappointment is by wearing the blue shirts and not purchasing merchandise from the club shop but if we are all being honest that won't really amount to a hill of beans or trouble the Vincent Tan radar. Certainly not whilst the club are holding back fans letters (as happened to me) to him anyway :(

Exactly as I stated. I would fear if that were to happen. But it sort of goes to prove my point, i.e. that nothing we say/do will change his mind, so we have simple choices to make

Each to his/her own but for me it is time to get my singing voice into shape in readiness for the positively historic season our great club has ahead :ayatollah:

Sorry, I obviously missed the bit where you said you've given up on your club :?

I'll find it easy to sit there, fella. It's the people who are there whilst still protesting their "100% disgust" at the changes who will need to look at themselves. they are obviously not that bothered deep down, are they? ;) :ayatollah:

simple question, no sarcasm, yes or no.

I was quite happy reading about STADIUM ALTERATIONS pal and as this was a free speech forum I shall comment. How the hell can I be enhancing ? just by mentioning my view that the thread was being sidetracked?
Or are you saying that if a post is not to your liking its sarcasm. bloody hell you need to get out of the playground. :|

Are you for real?

THE ONLY reason fans are against Tan is due to him changing the identity of our club and killing off our traditions. He has caused a huge divide amongst the fans because of this.

If Tan did a U-Turn on the rebrand and put us back to blue then that is when ALL fans will appreciate him!

Well thats bollocks. Tan was getting constantly slated about the debt, about how hes going
to stitch us up, gone in the summer etc etc etc long before the rebrand he was deliberately
being undermined in a pathetic attempt to grow support for Sam. Some fans are noticeably
less critical of him now because Sam has been paid. surprise surprise

Spot on, fella

Well well well lets pick on the Sam brigade shall we. Some of us do seem to have a chip on the shoulder against them.

It seems to be you are all a bit annoyed that Sam has not paid what basically was due to him or his associates.

Sorry, I missed the Sam bit. I certainly don't do that (pick on the Sam Brigade) and I repeatedly stated that I will always appreciate that he started this bandwagon rolling, even if he then almost cost us our club

Can you please explain the 2nd line, though? Appreciated

Because people wanted to see him not paid and this is why I believe Tan came out with the forensic accounts to basically win people over.
