I reckon its also worth considering the stretch on fans. The crowd numbers for last night were low considering it was first game in weeks and first in europe for years.

i can only speak for myself as a blues fan.yes we played 63 games i think that season and missed out in the p/o semi to blackpool.i dont really think that caused us to lose the semi though.that night we had myhill, caukdwell and fahey out the spine of out team out.fahey was prob ,on form the best midfielder in the league before his injury.in the euro games we played lads who wern,t starting every week.those lads featured later on when we had injuries etc.where would they have gotten game time without the euro games?i only did brugge away and 4 home games(one a qualifying game)but those nights were special.brugge away was immense.to hear a load of brugge in brum singing shit on the villa, zulu zulu and we love you birmingham we do was awesome.the jacks have earned the right for a pop at this.if they go out next round it is still something to treasure.clubs like ours don,t get to europe at all normally do they?hope to be posting on here one day about a ccfc euro night

Tough old season ahead I feel for both of us, Squads will be surely tested, does anyone need any distractions?

Aye, I'm sure you were cheering every goal going in last night and delighting at the plaudits we were receiving :laughing6:

jtc you kind of miss my point.

I get the passion for euro nights but for a lot of fans (especially new ones) something may have to give.
Such as games against fulham , west brom, hull etc.
Im interested in your opinion on this jtc? (Dont care what the tragic lonely inbred thinks)

it could impact griff.i suppose if a bloke only has so much money then is it hull on sunday or brugge on thurs ?no brainer.the jacks are mostly s/t holders though so it shouldnt impact too much.also hew jenkins prob knows this.those type of games he may have thought about it already and set up a family ticket for 4 say at 30 notes.there are ways round it.of course making sure the ground is full dont mean the atmo will be great .the jacks are in a diff position to when blues were in europe.they had a 9th finish so id imagine 15k of their seats are for s/t.s .we had a relegation.we had about 8/10k s/t,s in a ground that was bigger than the lib.the shine wont come off the jacks yet mate.there is another factor at play as well.hew jenkins can do no wrong at the lib.the swansea folk buy into his dream if you like so they will in the main support him and try to get down to the game.our bloke is under island arrest in hong kong..he was there when the euro campaign kicked off.so how ever good the night was on the sunday the ground still no where near full.people have had enough of being run poorly.we lost a lot of fans since the prem.just vanished.i havent renewed this year but that,s mainly down to having to pay for a few other things.prob get one at xmas and will go when i can in between.you will notice the diff in the prem griff.some games are like an event not a football game.i hate the rebrand but taking that out the equation for a minute you will love it when man city roll into town.any team that gets promoted deserves it so enjoy .it.from a englishman i can honestly say BOTH you and swansea will make the premier a more interesting league.im looking forward to the s/w derby big time.

All we cared and hoped for were that there was 3 worse sides in the league than us.This season i think Hull and Palace are phucked before a ball is kicked. It'll all be about that final place and it could be any one of 9/10 teams.
