people seem to forget legg and bowen who played for swansea before coming to cardiff.
Not the point. Swansea wanted to keep him. Spurs said no. We have got a player they would drool
over. The tide is turning re: whos signing the best players

when will people stop quoting wikipedia

If the signing does go through that would be a quality signing.
Looked at the Spurs forum last night and the vast majority did not want to see him go.they quoted anything less than 10million would be a steal.
Certainly a good investment for the future.
Go get Mc Manaman MM !

f*cking well done Malky! Is he left or right footed? Hope he's right, him and Turner at centre half would be solid as f**k!
This might tempt Capoue to get his arse down here now, as well as other top players

Assuming this deal goes through we need 2 midfielders minimum I think, (attacking mid / wing and holding mid) to have a relatively competitive team.

Caulker set for £9m Cardiff move after Welsh side agree fee for Spurs defender
PUBLISHED: 22:55, 30 July 2013 | UPDATED: 14:01, 31 July 2013
Cardiff City are on the brink of completing a £9m move for Tottenham defender Steven Caulker.
The England international was valued around £12m by the North London side but last season's Championship winners had been keen to complete a deal worth £4m less.
But it now seems the two Premier League clubs have finalised a deal which would see the defender leave White Hart Lane following a promising campaign which saw him make 29 appearances.
Caulker has been the subject of interest from Liverpool and Manchester City but Cardiff have followed up with a cash offer. They have been eager to find a centre-back and had moved for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno, also a target for Swansea, but their offer had been rebuffed.
Caulker, 21, is concerned he may not get enough games at Tottenham with Andre Villas-Boas looking to sign £6m-rated Vlad Chiriches, 23, from Steaua Bucharest on Monday and showing interest in Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon.

I see us getting three more. Malky is being pretty ruthless.
Left back, Centre midfield, Wide man. If Capoue now signs footballers will be climbing over each other
to sign on the dotted line. We should ring Ince up see if he wants any knee supports for those rainy days
in Blackpool

Certainly didn't forget Leggy or Bowen or even Alan Curtis! Seem to remember that they had to work quite hard to win over the fans though.

Great News...............................just a few more now and we will have a squad that will be able to compete in the EPL

£9 million for Caulker is a bargain, he's very good and proven at this level and he has a massive sell on value. With us he was superb alongside Ashley Williams, he made the odd error but he was very comfortable on the ball and very good in the air, he's improved since then and should be a regular for England in years to come. Hope this isn't true, awful business from Spurs.
He has no real allegiance towards us, just like with us having Routledge. He was only on loan and it's not going to be any sort of issue in the deal.

Liked all three but Legg was brilliant for us & a legend in many people's eyes.

Surprised the dribblers that work for SSN have not reported this so far Caulker is trending on twitter haha

Will believe it when i see a photo of him holding up a Cardiff City shirt having signed on the dotted line; but it looks and sounds very promising and if it comes off should encourage others to sign

You think 9m is a lot for a future England centre back? Caulker has Premiership experience, is powerful, pacey, comfortable on the ball, good athlete, reads the game well, he barely has a weakness! 9m is a bargain if true!
bang on tonteg.peanuts at his age and for his ability.the jacks will back that one up.
