You have to laugh at people not wanting Ledley to come back

Ledley isn't good enough unfortunately. He's a journeyman who would do okay from our bench but would you want to pin our key survival hopes on him? Lets face it, the first time he left was because he didn't have the bottle to stick around and finish the job. The likes of Whittingham, Hudson, Marshall and McNaughton are more Cardiffian than he can ever dream of. They stuck around, stood by us and finished the job. Sod Joe, he may be from Cardiff but he's not bigger than the club and no player is.

Ledley left because at the time Cardiff City and Dave Jones were f*cking about with his
whole career. He was right to leave.

I'd say he IS possibly good enough for the Premiership. But He's not on the same class as
the type of players we are aiming for so its a no-brainer. Buy 'lower standard' Players and
you finish lower. We wont do that

I've seen Joe play loads for us and the fact is we did not have a decent offer from a Premiership club other than Stoke and we should have bitten their hand off. We were holding out for a bigger club to pay bigger money and so was Joe. The fact that no one came in for him and he went to Scotland (one of the weakest leagues in Europe) on a free says it all.

Jot was a great servant for us at the time but Roy Keane he wasn't and on that basis "I'm out".

I've seen Joe play loads for us and the fact is we did not have a decent offer from a Premiership club other than Stoke and we should have bitten their hand off. Sorry I must have dreamt that Roma also held talks with Joe during that time. The fact of the matter is that because he was on a Bosman he had a better deal in a different footballing country. Any of us would have done the same if one employer offered more personally than others. Whilst I agree he is the lower end of quality compared to other players who have been linked with the club but realisitically the vast majoirty of players are using the club as a stalking horse and will continue to do that until the club prove themselves at Premier League level.

The whole Roma thing was just a rumour/Speculation. Are you really suggesting that Joe would have opted for Celtic and not serie A football?

Facts is facts, it was only Stoke or Celtic. Ledley felt Stoke was beneath him (self inflated views on his ability) and Celitc clearly have the ability to offer champions leage albeit that the rest of the Scottish league is Championship level at best. The fact he was a free agent means his signing on fee was his to negotiate and Celtic obviously beat Stoke with the overall package. We have better players already than Ledley and I think he would be a retrograde step. When you say the vast majority of players using the club as a stalking horse. who exactly? there is nothing to suggestthat is the case. Players will use all clubs they are in talks with to play one off against the other, generate interest from others and so on. So far we've had Ince who stayed put and Wanyamar who possibly would have come to us had the club exceeded Southamptons offer. Players will come wither we have proved ourselves or not. Our transfer policy is sensible and actually so far the signings made have not been played out in the press as is the norm with Malky.

For that reason I dont think Ledley will come - since he's already made comment on a prospective move, and neither will Catoupe, I believe Malky is already working on his next target.
