If we get this lad, he'll light up the Prem. Mark my words.

Lets hope this one comes off. In fairness does look like an overall better player than wanyama.

Re: Etien Copoue (Mail Online)

Mon Jul 22, 2013 10:46 pm

From what I've seen of him he looks like hell of a player, sort of player I believe we could do with in our squad, somebody who can fight out the holding midfield role with Gunnars and give the likes of Whitts, Kimbo and Mutchy the chance to express themselves further up the pitch.

But just like every other player we've been "linked" with I'll take it as a pinch of salt.

Super Kev wrote:This story may have some substance to it. He is exactly the same position as Wanyama. I'd rather Copoue than Wanyama too.

Southampton got Gaston Ramirez (who was wanted by Inter Milan at the time, and still is) in their firts PL season, so why can't we get Copoue?

Southampton are a bigger club than us though

Got to laugh on here sometimes, lovely bit of humour :laughing6:

Wanyama was the best thing since sliced bread. Ince was a highly talented youngster. Now they're not signing.........

Ettienne Copoue is a lot better than Wanyama and Ince is over rated. Loves it I do, Loves it :D

If true, get in and close it ASAP, rather than our scouts identifying good players for other clubs.

I've always felt he was after a McPhail type of player(only prem standard obviously)and this guy seems to fit the bill.10m seems to be the going rate too.

Preliminary talks have apparently gone well, but Athletico Madrid are making an improved offer whilst Napoli are lurking. We'll possibly just miss out but the good news is that the players we've already been linked with are an extremely small part of the wanted list. Our scouting network is vast. Just like this time last year, we'll be fed up of positive news soon :)

Does that mean Compass are ousted and we'll have proper unwatered lager/strongbow at a decent price? :old:

You don't sound over confident on this one. Have you heard anything about Valon Berisha?

There'll be several new names linked soon enough. The daily mail are blowing all the other papers out of the water this summer re our business. As soon as these things get printed and out in the open, unfortunately it alerts all the clubs with big money

How come the daily mail appear to be in the know regarding our transfer dealings? Is there a mole at the club whose mouth needs closing? :laughing6:
