He is a controversial figure, and a businessman at the end of the day. The rebranding does rankle with me still, but this is a commendable move.

Jon just stop being a pr*ck and just give him credit for the promises he stuck to so far. You don't have to change your opinion.

So based on everything he has done, good and bad, what is your opinion of him?

Whilst the rebrand is a totally unnecessary disappointment to me, there is no doubt that Tan has done some fantastic things for this football club.

Whilst the rebrand, for me, will always cast a shadow over his tenure of the club, it can't totally cover the very good things he has done for CCFC.

Though some seem to think that CCFC are now a debt free club. This is untrue & will remain untrue until he converts the debt to shares.

That's it in a nutshell, it's just the kit colour, if that is sorted Tan will be a GOD to City fans

Gavin, I feel anyone who is ignoring all the good that Tan has done for this club is just burying their head in the sand. As I said, I'm well known for my views regarding the rebrand, but judging him JUST on one thing would be unfair on Tan.

We all have our thoughts about Tan but we should not forget what he has done for our club, once he makes up debt free the only bad point will be playing in red.

I for one will take this in my stride, debt free to me is more important than colour however I know there are many who feel differently.

I hope with the season coming closer that we can put our thought to that and Red or Blue stop this name calling (I know I've been part of that) and rejoice at what CARDIFF CITY have done in the last few years.

Just remember we are ALL Bluebirds.

I share these views, I'll never approve of the red, but most of everything else Tan has done has to be applauded, if he turns the debt to equity as promised, I take my hat off to him

Of course he is happy our club has been saved. Who as a fan wouldn't be happy?

Obviously Tan cares or he wouldn't of made that public attack on people who are against the rebrand.

As we have said on many hundreds of occasions, we appreciate what he has done for us in the form of saving us but the fact he threw our identity away stops a lot of our fans from appreciating him as much as we probably should...

I support the club obviously but I don't and never will support the rebrand.

If Tan doesn't change his mind about the rebrand then we can just  goodbye to him as he has said "too much negativity for too long isn't good and you can find yourself a new owner" - He has saved us now, we don't have any more debt so if he doesn't back down on his rebrand then cheerio Tanio....

I wouldn't be disheartened if he was the leave. I don't want him to leave however, I want him to change us back to blue. I would love to return to the days where all fans can agree with each other but until the blue comes back then will never happen.

Tan has agreed in the deal with Langston to do the debt to equity, so it should happen very soon.

I'm sorry but what he has done is just make us a laughing stock in football. Yes, he saved us from the brink but there was absolutely no need to make us more marketable in Malaysia. And people saying he's kept his word have a different memory to me. Wasn't it about this time last year they promised that we would not play in red and we would keep the badge?

Where is that quote from Tan, im not being funny asking that, id just like to see it again, as I cant remember it all that well.

At the time Tan wanted to make us more marketable in Asia we were losing 1.2 million a month, something had to be done to stop the losses, and that was a tactic he thought to employ, someone had to get a grip on the finances and try to balance the books. You say there was 'no need to make us more marketable' thats a crazy statement IMO

Yeah he also said he'd be happy to leave if the fans couldn't accept the Red.

Back in blue (with white and a bit of yellow) we will be at some point. VT has delivered on so much. When we are back in blue he could be SuperTan.

He's aiming to make us more marketable in China - that is his plan.

Top post. Should be a sticky! People can dwell and hate the reds... But hopefully they can accept the reality (playing in red) and move on (we aint going back to blue) and just support the club 100% without being negative. Time to celebrate and be positive.
