Isn't that the movie where a bunch of boozers try reliving their past and nearly all die because of it?

No I just think we should return to Ninian Park. The atmosphere was better. The new stadium is rubbish. I remember years ago, with those dank, dark autumn nights stood on the Bob Bank with a gale howling through the stadium*, when it was just me, the organist and a tin of spaghetti. Couldn't beat it. Just thinking about it warms the cockles of me heart. Exactly the kind of experience we can market to the world. Ninian Park - why oh why oh why did we leave?

Great post. I love it get my vote for post of the millennium. Illustrates the pint to perfection wish I thought of it how stupid and ridiculous it is to want blue back.
If they really wanted blue back that badly they could have it done by start of season no problems if they did the right things.

Some idiots are pro reds. Some idiots are reluctant reds. Some idiots want blue back. Some idiots like Cheryl Cole. Some idiots don't like Cheryl Cole. That is life. There are idiots in every walk of life and certain sectors of our fan base will be no different.

Jibes such as dinosaur and Neanderthal have been used by reluctant reds to describe the people opposing the rebrand.

These jibes are wrong and I agree as are the ones aimed at those who are happy to embrace red. Im happy to wear red to support my team but this year I will be buying the yellow kit as a show of my neutral stance. I would prefer blue back but I'll happily wear red. That is me personally and everyone else is different. I am a younger breed of fan. Just under 10 years to my support whereas others have decade after decade of support notched up. Each to their own.

Do I want to see this club move forward? Yes.

Could that be achieved wearing blue? Of course it could.

Again agreed but this club needed money more than ever and you know as well as I do that once Tan converts his debt to equity the side that wants a return to blue will grow stronger. People are waiting until Langston is dealt with before kicking up a fuss and only when Langston is settled will more make their move in this game of chess.

I'll be wearing a yellow kit this year as yellow was a colour associated with this club in the beginning and buying the red I believe will only provoke the wrong sort of reaction. Yellow means I won't be seen as a happy glory supporting plastic embracing Tan's red ideology and I won't be a pro blue Bluebirds Unite devotee with an agenda, I'll just be a fan who supports his local club in his own way.

Excellent post sir. 100% agree.
Just to add I believe most of the Get the blue back brigade are a bunch of Plastics.
If I was given the power to choose the colour I would hand a vote to those who were season ticket holders between 1985 and 2005 the true bluebirds that turned up when things weren't so good.

How about a shirt made out of Rorschach's mask, or a Global Hypercolour shirt changing colour according to your mood (well, body heat).

I hate the rebrand, but the worst bit of it is not the shirt colour or the badge..

It's this type of fan that seems to have a problem with some of us wanting to see our club play in our rightful colours.

I know all you care about right now is PL football, but sorry to say, there are some who value our true identity over a season in the top flight.

Get used to it, this split amongst the fans won't be going away any time soon

Nobody has a problem with your preferences (which are largely the same as everyone else) it is the fact you would see the club harmed or put in danger to achieve that aim. You might think we would be perfectly OK without VT but an overwhelming majority do-not agree.

Until there is an overwhelming majority to have things your way, you will have to put up with the rebrand or walk away like some principled fans have.

My problem with your post is the "see the Club harmed'' reference

How on earth can a few thousand people protesting legally and peacefully against something they
passionately disagree with harm the Club? Because the owner threatens to leave if people oppose
his views on something? This is Britain mate, if Tan is seriously considering walking out because
of this then i for one dont want him here. His money and investment at what cost?

GEnder, if you can find another equally generous investor to take Mr Tan's place in the event he does leave, then fine, otherwise put your own money where your mouth is.

Factgasm the longer this thread goes on,the bigger a dickhead you become with every post.

You mention Tan walking away, he would lose a £100 mill. Are you real?

He would lose respect in Malaysia, politically, culturally and in the business world.

So to talk about him walking away is complete nonsense.

If there were people around from the 1908 era, they could argue that we should play in brown & yellow and be called Riverside FC!

Those of our newer fans who may have only seen us play in red at home, may feel that as we've entered a new era under a man who although has divided opinion, has certainly saved the club from obscurity and may prefer to claim the red as our rightful colour!

Why do retards always bring up Riverside FC colours as if it's relevant.
It was an amateur team with no stadium, which also had less than 20 years history.
Hardly comparable to Cardiff Bluebirds in 2012 were they?
