In truth, you were just being negative. Swansea just signed a feller for £10m who has only played in the
notoriously poor Dutch League. But he would appear to be a quality player. Same with Oliviera, except
hes only costing us a wage. I suspect you have looked at his stats and thought - f**k it, he dont score enough-
try digging a bit deeper. The lad SCREAMS different class. I think the lad will be a gem.

Portuguese daily Record has suggested that Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira is set to join Premier League side Cardiff City.

Despite impressing while on loan at Deportivo La Coruna, the talented forward doesn’t seem to have a future at Estadio da Luz and he will be allowed to leave the club this summer.

According to Record, the Portugal international is set to join Cardiff City on a season-long loan, with the two clubs sorting out the final details of the transfer.

The Bluebirds have already signed striker Andreas Cornelius from FC Copenhagen, but they are hoping the Benfica forward will further increase competition for places in attack.

Nelson Oliveira came through the youth ranks at Estadio da Luz, but was never given a real chance to shine at Benfica, and had to prove his worth on loan spells at Rio Ave, Pacos de Ferreira and Deportivo La Coruna.

The 21-year-old is hoping to finally ensure some regular playing time, having made just four league starts over the last two seasons.

He was being quoted as worth 24 million last year, maybe slightly better than what is currently in our squad. If he signs lets give him a chance hey.

Look the guy started 2 games and come on as a sub 28 times. That obviously will not bring the boy much confidence, he needs game time to show what he's capable of.
