I agree Barry but there does seem to be a large element of Cardiff fans that dislike the rebrand but are looking for a utopian protest movement. Well, I'm afraid utopia doesn't exist and whilst none of us will agree with every word of every BU poster, every BU tweet or every public statement, they are the 'only show in town' and tbf, they get a lot more right than they get wrong, imo.

You are spot on sir.

I think some are looking to justify their backing of the rebrand, by picking holes in any little thing that BU does. It's a shame.

My example of this would be:

I'm a supporter of BU, that doesn't mean that my views are that of BU, just like as a supporter of CCFC, my views aren't shared necessarily by CCFC.

I support the group, simple as. To me, it's just a fun play on Tan's words yesterday, but if it were me designing the posters, I would stay away from anything that could deter people supporting the cause.

Just the same as I don't think the t shirts should have the slogan "I don't have to sell my soul."

Just my thoughts, I have no direct involvement with BU.

Ok thanks, I understand your view, but I hope you understand my reservations, I don't know if I should support the group. I've been a fan long enough to know that groups such as this can easily be Hi-jacked as the wording disruptive would appear to be.

Of course I do, that's why I answered your questions as best I could.

I'd support them though. If you have anything that you disagree with then, you can suggest ideas. They are a good and peaceful group. :ayatollah:

Your best bet is to get along to one of its meetings, see whether you like the vibe, if not put it down to experience. If you do attend, make a bee-line for Sian and have a chat with her. I had my reservations about BU but found her focused and driven but also sensible.

Mate you are a peaceful person, I'm sure sian is too, however there are people glorifying the disruptive, and, as I've stated you absolutely have to factor in the lowest common denominator.

The Oppressed are the name of a band that are playing on the night..

If you are looking to see blue reinstated as our home kit & identity restored, please come along and show your support.

Nowhere in that flyer does it say that the Oppressed are playing on that night, maybe I've read it wrong ?

Of course, but as I said, that's not the view shared by BU. To assume it is would be generalising.

For example, there are some members here who enjoyed the scene of the 80s and the football culture... to say that all the members feel this way though would be incorrect.

As Alfie says, go along and you can work out either way.

Oh for gods sake, you just can't have a debate can you, who generalised? Who said that because you are a member of this board you condone football violence? I stated that I, that's right I, PERSONALLY FELT UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE DISRUPTIVE WORDING BECAUSE IT MAY ENCOURAGE A SMALL COMMON DENOMINATOR. Ok I'm out. I've read posts from you before and know that unless it suits you, you'll go on and on. I was trying to have an open discussion however it appears beyond you.

In that case, I apologise. I read your post wrong.

Don't stoop to insults though, it undermines your point. :old:

Wow you're a sensitive soul if you think that post contained insults! It's not as though he abused you ffs

I'd say the sentence at the end was insulting. That's what an insult is, no? There was no need for it.

Where did I mention abuse? :?

Hence why I said "it's not as though he abused you"

I'm sure I read you referring to somebody earlier as posting 'brown nose nonsense' or words to that effect.
Insulting, no? Any need for it?
