Twist things how you like you had a great start and quite a good fixture list, that gave you confidence ane helped your season considerably.

You had a terrible end after the cup,rob ably because the extra games and the excitement of the cup took it out of you, we had the same problems in years of great cup runs.

This season will be a whole new ball game, you have a much tougher start, playing netter quality teams earlier, how you start will again I am sure shape your season. A bad start will test your nerve and could have the opposite effect of last years confident start. Add to that the Europa games, travelling and playing on a Thursday, then having to travel back and play a fresh team that has had all week to prepare for just the one game on a Sunday, half the time away will be very difficult for you and could also make you drop points that you would normally get.

To early to predict things yet as I both of us could add to our squads yet, we will almost certainly add another four at least, but it is going to be a very interesting season, I can't wait.

I haven't checked but could we play you straight after a Europa game, that would be nice ???

Im not twisting anything, we finished 9th, a position we were in BEFORE this perceived terrible end.

After winning the cup we qualified for Europe, we no longer needed to do it via league position. The only way we could have improved what we got is by finishing in the top 4 and the Champions League which was never possible. After the cup we coasted and picked up 13 points out of 13 games, which again would have been enough to keep us up if we had that form for the whole season, so it wasn't even as bad as you make out.

Anyway, back to the point. We play the same games as everyone else, 38 games, playing everyone home and away. We have added an extra 7 quality players to cope with Europa League. im more than confident of having another fantastic season.

Jacks = 46pts
7th place = Liverpool = 61pts (gap to jacks = 15pts)

18th place = relegated Wigan = 36pts (gap to jacks = 10pts, which in my reckoning is smaller than 15pts)

6th place = Everton = 63pts = jacks nowhere near

However there is an argument that there is more chance of us gaining 15 points on Everton as opposed to Wugan gaining 10 on us due to the quality of sides, you are looking at it from a points perspective rather than an actual probability perspective. but I couldn't care less either way.

I didn't misquote you at all, I just made the point we were nowhere near relegation. I couldn't care less if we were close to Everton, we got European qualification with a quarter of the season to go, we didn't need to catch Everton so its irrelevant.

The table doesn't work out the chances of a team catching another. its subjective.

Coasted. Stumbled would say we were lucky to get those points where it was clear we were unlucky to only get that amount. We had a linesman that didn't know you cant be offiside if its played by the opposition (which incidentally would have seen us finish 8th) and not one penalty awarded all season despite an abnormal amount of stone wallers.

Ifs and buts, if you had not won a game you would be in League 1.

that's what ML is planning for, its not like hes just stumbling into this, hes got the squad he wants early in pre season, he will bring in one more striker but as he says theres no rush for that

I don't think ive ever heard anyone say Bellamy wouldn't go to you or speculate about him leaving - he isn't rated that highly, Liverpool did beat you and yes in fairness you didn't bottle it this time - but that's the only one that was widespread amongst our fan base.

what,s really embarassing is away fans being more pro blue/your history than some of your own fans.most teams(mine included)would love to be where swansea are now.not just footballing wise but the way it,s run.
