I wouldn't say that, it's just people forget all the good things being done as it doesn't suit or benefit their own point of view.

Just thought it was time someone spoke up for the apparant 95% majority

Gavin, be careful. You are in danger of making sense in the mad world that sees one single issue override the many good things that Vincent Tan has achieved since his arrival ;)

Seriously, a good post which puts things into a little more perspective :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :malky:

Re: Give some credit to VT

It is a tricky one. VT has definately saved us and I am very grateful for that. Plus for also getting us to the big boy league by giving MM the funds to.

But I think the way he went around the rebrand will always be a bug bear for many fans including myself. I think deep down he regrets the way it happened, but what can he do?

I hate the fact we play in red with a complete MUGS badge, but I get to watch MY team play in the biggest & best league in the world so for that I will always be grateful. He wont be around forever so I hope in the future we can return to blue, or at least to our original badge.

Roll on thr 17th where 3000 of Bluebirds will cheer on OUR team with pride & show them what Cardiff City are all about, not some shameful team in a shit red shirt

I don't care what good Tan does for us for him to say those against his rebrand are disrespectful is nonsense! The only person who's been disrespectful to our football club is Tan for taking our identity! Interesting how Tan says the 15 million spent on players took us up and not this "lucky red" nonsense! He continues to embarrass himself with his pathetic stunts/comments to antagonise/disrespect the fans!

As someone I know recently said "it doesn't matter what we might win under Tan because feeling you belong to your club is worth more than any trophy"!

When im standing amongst 3000 (hopefully) Bluebirds at West Ham on August 17th, I'll feel part of our club mate, each to their own though

Thats the point gav all the ones say its not my club ect ect they will be standing screaming when we beat man u and the swans!
Can't beat a bit of double standards on here!

I choose to go to games, support my team, cheer and celebrate when we score/win, but also wear blue and chant blue army, Bluebirds, we'll always be blue etc. How is that double standards? I hate the rebrand, I hate us playing in red, I hate Vincent Tan for not making our promotion to the Premiership feel as special to me as it should have, but I will keep turning up and keep respectfully protesting to get our identity back as I cannot walk away.

Why can't I walk away? Because I love Cardiff City, my local team. The memories our club has given me are irreplaceable. I now go to games to support our club in spite of Tan, not because of him. I watch us now in the hope that one day, I can watch us at some point in the future in blue again with our proper identity, so I can experience more joy and more elation to give me more memories to treasure and look back on. I was here 20 plus years before Tan came and I will be here 20 plus years after Tan goes. I have supported us through the good and bad times, whatever the level. Right now is a bad time for me. Why? Because I don't really feel part of our club and I will always hate Tan for making me feel this way.

My favourite time supporting our club was the Eddie May era. I was a junior Bluebird, I was even a mascot for one game, and the whole community was united as one chanting Eddie May's barmy army, blue army and Bluebirds! I really felt part of my club then, there was a real passionate emotional connection, everyone was buzzing and the atmosphere was incredible. We were in the lower leagues, but supporting us was something to be proud of. Back then we had our blue, our Bluebird, our identity and the passionate Eddie May getting the fans united behind him. Those days were the best and those days were what I loved about being a City fan, I felt part of my club, my local club that I used to be proud of!

What we are currently going through now, despite Premiership football and possible future glories, will still never compare to how I felt back then! I will always support my club, but I may never feel like I did back then again because of what Tan has done. Tan can give us all the money, facilities and success he wants, but it still won't feel the same to me. The days I had a passionate emotional connection to my club have gone. What Tan has done has really upset me, yet when fans like me pour our emotions out, you have the nerve to say we have double standards for still wanting our team to win?

thank you VT for saving our club from potentially extinction :ayatollah:
I don't like the decision to turn the home colours to red but in my own view probably not most people I treat the red kit as I would treat the colours we play away, we don't always wear our home colours at home in the past and it didn't stop me supporting the club then and it wont stop me now :ayatollah:

the future is bright for our club thanks to tan and his money and of course mr malky MacKay :malky:

I agree with everything you said there and I would have "Checked" all the things mentioned myself.
However...Every action has an equal but opposite reaction.
Humans are individually different and the reactions differ depending on priories individual to each person.
We can also get caught up in the pack mentality that is inbuilt in each of us.
EG I'm sure every single Bluebird was caught up in the Sam era but now there are no doubt almost as many haters as there were admirers.
A different point of view for some people could very well be:
Waltzed into our club without any affiliation to Cardiff City. Check
Has no care of what the people of this wonderful club think. Check
Stripped our club of an identity without any due consideration to the people of Cardiff City. Check
Swapped the colour of our shirts in the blink of an eye. Check.
Changed our Badge with the blink of another.
Disrespected fans y not trying to communicate with them. Check.
Lied about letting the fans design The club Crest and have a say on a new design. Check
Threatened fans with pulling out of Cardiff City if they don't agree to his terms. Check.
Divided fans oppinion and even caused aggression amongst friends by aggrevating the matter.

As you can see there are pluses on both sides and im certain you could come up with many more reasons for and against.
I'm just saying that The equal but opposite reaction i referred to earlier is different for each of us.

Tan had and still has in my oppinion to be a GOD down here in Cardiff City and it would just take a small step from him....and us to agree a compromise where the majority of fans are agreed.

I'm still preying that VT sends out a message that he is ready to give a little and in return i know he would receive an awful lot.
