Still waiting for you to explain how you selling out for promotion has made us change out philosophy?
thanks, fella. that was the kind of answer I was looking for and you make some good points. Maybe it is just coincidence but it was something I noted with the signing of Bony and the announcement that Laudrup did indeed come close to going

Spending £12m on one player and their holier than thou philosophy has flown out of the window in one fell swoop. It goes to show that one man is actually bigger than the club. Laudrup has got exactly what he wanted against the cost of their self-promotional sainthood down there

in their first year their record signing was 3.5 mill, the year after it was 5.5 mill, this year it naturally would have been around 7.5/8 mill BUT all prem clubs got a 40% boost of income with the SKY money. so 12 million is about right as they continue to grow.
they posted 30.5 mill profits since getting to the prem and that includes every player bought. they are operating WELL in the black, they could have spent 33 million on Bony and still be in good shape.
that's the truth of the matter.

There were some Swansea fans on here were saying it was wrong, and that Laudrup should f**k off if he can't stick to the budget at the time his buddy was told to leave, but yes you are right looks like Laudrup has got his way.......

In the first instance have a look at BBC Ceefax - Football News - Transfer Gossip and then deny his comments that other teams were in for him, King Cnut...
Then tell me in all seriousness that you HONESTLY don't believe his position at The Library stadium (where football gets confused with rugby if you listen to the fans in full voice) was EVER in doubt

If you HONESTLY can, then you are in denial (nothing new there, of course)

Q: Did you have offers to leave Swansea this summer?
ML: It depends what you mean by offers. Yes there were clubs – a couple of big ones as well – who wanted me but it never became anything more than that. I have confirmed many times that I wanted to stay and I told players when they asked me before they extended their contracts, so I don't want to run away from that. It's normal after a season which was good for everybody that there is a lot of interest and eyes on all of us, domestically and internationally. But it never went further than that and I didn't have to speak to anyone because I want to stay here.

It seems to me that Swansea are all too well aware of the threat from their capital city club coming to steal their mantle as Wales highest placed club (note I didn't say No.1 club because that will NEVER be true) and have started to move away from their miserly past
For me, it is obvious. Swansea are well 'put out' by Cardiff's rise to the Premier League and Huw the Miser is desperate to react to the 'plans' both Malky and Vincent Tan have for us. They reecntly came (literally) within hours of losing their manager and have now started spending unprecedented money just to appease him

What a clueless load of bull shit.
Our philosophy is simple spend what you can afford. Which is what we will always continue to do. Wow the amount of jealous bitter ill informed shite on here is frightening
No bullshit and that statement from you suggests you ARE rattled, fella![]()
The strong evidence suggests otherwise, fella and it was confirmed yesterday that Laudrup WAS offered other jobs and only the direct promise of transfer funds made him give it one more year. One thing I will say for him (Laudrup) is he remains loyal to his employer

Forgot the players they sold? Selective memory, also the stated profit for last season incuded the sold players without that it would not have been as healthy!
